And a lower receiver, don’t forget.
Hmm, definitely worth a squiz… might end up doing that. Cheers
X force got their EOFY sale going, same old stuff thou.
Hmm. $250
I know there were issues with these, who was it that started a conversion on these to drop a gen 8 in them? I think it was a gen 8 they were throwing in it
The dart blaster version is still $375
Even if not converting to gen 8 for better performance, it’s a cheaper option for a wall hanger
Think it was me joking about it when Friendly Fire and DChapo were working on theirs. Awhile back. Maybe it is a possibility, anything is really.
I should’ve known lol
It was @RokSolid suggesting shoehorning a gen 8 into it
That would make for a hectic shotgun
Still really disappointed they didn’t attempt to convert the TM version, but I did want one as a collectible anyway.
Still haven’t got mine going to a usable standard, I’ve seen videos of other people’s and they were getting some decent range out of them for what they are.
Yep, guilty as charged haven’t gotten around to it yet… one day… maybe.
A Gen 8 would physically fit… and let’s face it, who could be arsed picking up ejected shells? The mag’s another story, but everything lines up.
Ah, f*ck it… no guts, no glory.
Biggest issue I foresee is the grip, cause of the metal plate that connects it to the mag guide rail.
The mag I don’t think would be much of a problem, could have the mag terminals set up like the MP5 (side by side), gut the stock mag and make an insert for it.
Yeah, that guide rail would need some rerigging and repositioning… not impossible though. As long as the grip’s secured and the external part of the rail’s retained there may be a way to engineer some space into that grip. maybe bend up another tie rod to the bottom that runs along the front side of the grip, not down the middle. As long as there’s a thread at the botton and it’s secured to the bottom of the box
Photo pinched from your thread @DChapo Hope ya don’t mind.
The other option would be running an inline gearbox, P90 style… but something this size deserves a bit of a monster.
Ooo yeah… definitely gotta have a monster gearbox in that bad boy otherwise what’s the point?
If the gearbox that ends up in it is only a piss ant gearbox it would be a massive waste of potential
All g, they’re there for reference material.
I wonder if a V3 gearbox would work, seeing as they have that nut on the bottom of the motor cage, whether it aligns or not thou.
Or what about one of those EBR gearboxes? They’re a full sized one aren’t they? Or even the PPsH (think they’re a v6) but not sure on the trigger alignment. Got one at home as a project,I’ll post a pic when I get home.
Wrong thread for this discussion too, sorry
I was Gunna say x-force has the ppsh gearbox’s for sale when I looked on there last night, but yeah says they’re V6 style gearbox
Not cheap tho $150
I got one real cheap from somewhere but you think I could remember where I got it from… Was like $20 or something, can’t see them anywhere else online so must have been removed.
But looking at it now they probably wouldn’t work with how far forward the nozzle is to the trigger compared to others.
Dammit, had it in my cart ready to buy for a few days and when I hit the checkout they were out of stock, bugger
The $17 coma nylon one is a good 2nd prize…
You might actually use it, in the future too…
The cyma nylon box is far better than the warinterest, much more solid and capable.
I currently don’t have any CYMA blasters, may grab one just for tinkering tho, cheers
I’ve got a few of those nylon CYMA boxes in the spare parts box. I like 'em… I like 'm a lot.
Have to be one of the best nylon boxes out there.
I tend to strip them down to the shell and hit the outside with Tamiya flat black though… just because I find bits of orange visible on a blaster triggering.
