Verbally, yes…some time ago.
Ring them up, for any recent updates.
But as of last time, no…
Which is probably why xforce as advertising them as low fps collector models…

Newer AK from CYMA it looks, maybe they updated their whole range.
Why do they always have to do that with the rear sight leaf also…
I WONT get that one, i swear…
I’ll stick with my JM AK…
Someone else can do a review on it…!
I would but I already have 2 other AKs…
I really should get rid of some blasters before I go and buy more and AKGB isn’t helping that
.
Maybe it got an erection

Seem to be a few options for classic AKs these days.
We’ve come a long way from the old RX AKM-47s… which I actually didn’t mind at all.
I remember everyone hating on the JM J11s when they were released… nothing like an AK, too tactical. Then the Russian Army was issued with the AK15s and the J11s started making a bit more sense.
Jin Ming J11 AK47
Kalshnikov AK15
Jin.Ming didn’t do a bad job. Now I’m waiting on a decent gel version of a QBZ191 to surface.
I’ve got 3 AKs in various degrees of function - an RX, AlphaKing and Double Bell AK. The RX is the best by far, even without disabling the blowback. Quiet too. I think the AlphaKing could be improved easily … ran well to start with but has lost airseal somewhere. The Double Bell really impressed me to start with, but ive broken two magazines thanks to their design flaws. The bit that holds the magazine in … on the front top of it. They break after a couple of uses. This one came with metal mags. Not sure if the nylon DB AK mags had the same issue as they were never sold seperately to the gat.
I’ve been told the mags are interchangable between the 3, but mine sure don’t.
oh well … just the RX functioning is fine. A 1:3 ratio of working vs non working blasters seems standard across my entire collection.
I reckon RX AKMs are a good thing, IMHO. ![]()
I disabled the blowback on mine immediately after I got it, didn’t want stuff working loose with all the shock and vibration, and it proved to be a really reliable unit. I even didn’t mind having to rack the bolt after each mag change with it, just added to the realism. ![]()
Funny how blowback is making a comeback again with the latest blasters… for me, that’s just something to disable and I know @BME feels the same.
Extra noise…extra vibration…extra rattle…extra strain on the gearbox, extra strain on the battery, extra strain on the piston, a tab that will eventually break off and maybe destroy some gears with it…
What’s Not to like about it.??

The double bell’s are pretty good…but you need to be super careful with the mags.
Like, really, really slow and softly, putting them in and out.
Which sorta rules them out for gameday blasters.
The JM is great value for $150…good performer too… 310 fps out of a M95.
The plastic wood appears to be aesthetically better than the Cyma.
The mag design is more sturdy than the DB’s and could be a game blaster.
The cyma does have more spare gearboxes / parts though…
I guess the latest offerings are a little less violent than the RXs.
The slug of metal you.pulled out of one of those when you disabled the blowback was freakin’ huge… all designed to give the illusion of recoil.
But no doubt destructive in the long term.
And at least the latest ones give you a choice. You can always lock that faux bolt back and pew away with no blowback if that’s what you want. ![]()
I fixed too many early RX AK’s to give a good opinion on them, though later models seem to have improved a lot.
The Jin Ming J12 AK-74su is still one of my favourites, light, and big underdog vibes, but the thing has just seen hell and keeps going!
I have two double bell AKs. The mags breaking the retaining nub is an issue but otherwise they work. One had perfect shimming, and still works flawlessly after just an o-ring and full cylinder doing 390fps!
The other broke gears, replaced with SHS ones which was a dick to shim as there is little room, changed to slim bushes to help, then broke the piston… changed piston and head, motor… it works but is a bit meh quality compared to the other DB AK. Some are just better than others, so mixed QA I guess.
The APS AK74-su I have is great. Hopup, done. Haven’t had time to do anything else to it yet but one day I will. Decent all round.
The plastic cyma AKs, out of the box shot surprisingly well, was always pretty impressed by their shooting gels performance, but the body is super plasticy which is a massive downside.
Worth noting, If you have a Double Bell AK, get RX mags. Some will need the magazine latch filed slightly to fit them some don’t (more QC points off for DB!). The RX 5.56 AK mags are awesome… Have some one the way for AKgelblaster soon. They fit so well in APS, and fit in both my DB without filing but again some will need a fettle. Being nylon and better fit with less wobble, best option for APS and DB AKs!
yeh the DB was a heavy hitter OOTB.
ill buy some of those mags when they land for sure too!
I skipped all that and bought a pre production APS AK.
I like a challenge, took months but got er done ground up fit and finish, alignment was not up to my speed.
Took the kingswood front coil spring out and got the same 300fps with a 1.18mm AG spriong, shs piston as only had two front teeth metal, realigned the whole front end which was a bitch to do. Bearing spring retainers, loctited and doubled down. Grub screws and the faux gas piston front end was an absolute bastard to realign and redo.
Took the stupid mag well guide off as the mag did not seat properly and would miss feed because of it. Worked when I did that, then a year later the Ren Xiang Toys proper 74 style mag came out and are the best for the APS AK.
Not for the fient of heart but it is one of my most solid reliable blasters now after all that work.
Fixed the fucked fire selector, more loctite.
Ex forum members son 3D printed the hopup faux booster that sets it off for me and works awesome as any I have tried. Bought an extra, wanted to give them to me, I said no give your son some pocket money for his 3D printing he was in to. I don’t take freebies.
I disabled the blow back on this one as it was destined to shit the bed
