yeah that’s the dumbest part (or at least the biggest) that it’s up to the state government to determine we can have them but the federal to if we can get them, I feel that’s a bit of an overreach of responsibility.
As Rok pointed out, Federal made it legal to import airsoft stuff but it’s still not legal on a state level, what kind of thought process is that?!

i’ve wanted a MG42 for some time now, and had been chasing the various leads.
Pretty much all the “80’s Classics”, have been released, and this was the last of the WW2 interest items…
Pretty much all of the classics/ WW2 / noteable modern stuff has been already released… new products and new releases had been pretty slow in recent times anyway…
we were lucky to get the uzi and sten in, before the gates swung shut.
Had the MG-42 squeaked in as well, that would have been great…
I dont mind missing out on the M1919…
All that really would have remained. would have been a full scale M-134… and a .50 cal …!!
But it was extremely unlikely they’d ever find their way here.
An affordable(ish) nylon MG-42 would have been a nice sunset pic…
Oh well…one day i’ll get a unit in the south island of NZ, and airsoft to my hearts content…lots of beautiful scenery over there…!

Yeah the MG42 has been spoken about since the old forum days, well known and when it was announced a gel version was in development I’m sure a number of members wet themselves cough BME cough
