2 Late !/ 2 Stocks/ 2 Mags/ 2 Good...i'll CYMA self out.! (New CYMA MP5 )

F.P.S. self soothing package arrived…!!
Just as i was going through withdrawls…!!

But seriously, the 2 mags/ 2 different stocks makes this package alluring.
LDT extending stocks go for around $90…and they are all sold out.

So, lets look at the stocks first…

Very solid unit, the extending stock does not wobble.
Their is a subtle difference, with the width of the shouldering part of the CYMA stock, compared to the LDT.
The CYMA is a bit thicker on the shoulder stock…

Very little in it though…

There is a little bit of stock switchero to be aware of…

The cyma stock will fit a LDT Mp5…
(as below…Cyma stock on LDT Mp5SD)

However… a LDT stock, will NOT easily fit a Cyma MP5…

Not worth it, trying to fettle to fit.

And, to be honest, the most likely situation, would be buying this Cyma kit, to use/change stocks on a LDT mp5 you already have.

That situation, is all good.
Extending stock goes on easier…Full stock is a bit harder, as its thicker.

Wear it in , on the Cyma first, to stretch a bit…then a bit of hairdryer use gets it easy on/ easy off a LDT…

Mags…

stick mag, and drum mag included.

The drum mag has the gold decal, on the front… i’ll paint that off soon.

The stick mag as standard, has a transparent lengthwise viewing window.
I painted that out.

50 shades of…!!!

I used the rustoleum Matt Black, with the Tamiya TS-80 clear.
Its a very good match, for the “new blaster” black…

speaking of paint, a few things did stick out…
Being a cyma…orange box visible bits…not any more…

two other things were noticeable.

1. red inner barrel…visible through handguard. Brush painted.
2. Blue nunchuck batteries. Visible from rear of handguard. Rattlecan coats…

The barrel extends into the flash hider, which is removable via screwing off.
Every bit of extra barrel helps with fps.
The threaded part would allow supp fitting /hopups etc.

How many MP5 derivitives is that now? Oops, there’s that FPS rearing it’s head again.

I have an LDT A3 stock on my MP5… they fit with a palm heel tap. No fettling required.

Finally…performance…

Standard, it has blowback, and was doing 250-260 on ihobby blues.
These seem to be a crowd favourite, with the new batch of Cymas.

There is a JST power connector at the back, to run the power through.
This lives behind the stock add on.

Teardown is standard…mag has protruding terminals , and recessed terminals on the receiver, so there is no chance of munted terminals during pull down.

I just did a M100 spring swap, and trialed the fps achieved.

So, a fps range of 280-310 is pretty solid.
Great performance, for just a spring upgrade…good little CQB unit.

Good value…2 stocks / 2 mags / decent blaster for $300.!

I feel like i’m cheating on AKgelblaster…buying from Vas…But…

Her listing looks to have single mag / single stock ( at a cheaper price).
I was after the 2pack, so…

You do get a few odd low fps gels…that drop a bit. but lateral spread is quite reasonable.

All in all, a good value budget package, with an easy upgrade available.
