3D Printed Vietnam Era Replicas

Dropped into Oz Gel & Tactical this morning, one of the guys was assembling a 3D printed rifle… it was a FAL L1A1 replica, grip not fitted yet. Fitted in the bottom pic.

Up on the wall is also a 3D printed F1 submachine gun

A 3D printed Owen gun is also available but one wasn’t on display.

Available with a loop stock too.

Also (wait for it)… a Bren LMG

Lastly, an M60 LMG.

I know the price of the F1 and the L1A1 is $180, I’d imagine the Owen would be the same. Not sure about the Bren or the M60, probably more exxie due to their size and increased print time. :person_shrugging:

Anyone interested in picking up any of these can contact Brent down at Oz Gel & Tactical in Morayfield. :+1:

Wow they are impressive and the price is good too :+1:

Do they post M-60’s to Vic…???

asking for a squid… i mean, a friend…

  :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The FAL looks good…

interesting development, on my FAL Wood kit from canada…

Looks like they were advertising goods, they didn’t have in stock.

Might be, no stock, in stock, for the stock. Take stock of that!!

Hopefully not…

Owen gun looks funky too…bit of Aussie history.

How decent are they.?
Flimsy and rough.?
Or solid and (mostly) smooth.?

Pretty good.

They look good as they are, but no doubt would look amazing with some high fill primer and some sanding.

Surely you’re going to see about retrofitting one?

If you Really, Really, REALLY…

Gotta have a FN FAL wood kit…

these guys make it, for real steel…

Im sure it could be fettled to fit…

My need is not that great…

They make some funky stuff…

There are a lot of reasons why the SA58 isn’t the perfect base blaster for an L1A1 conversion, so it’s probably just as well the furniture’s unavailable.

There are lots of differences in the receiver that make it a deal breaker for the purists… the top pic rail being the most obvious. MILSIMers tend to have it milled off and the top of the receiver rounded and painted.

L1A1

Still, it’s about as close as we can get right now.

I think the carry handle on the 3D print model is the biggest let down. Glaringly skinny and feels really weak. You wouldn’t want to pick the model up by that handle, I can tell you.
