got me 2 ak74 mags for a …double bell. Had ordered a retro arms v3 ak box for it from NZ but for some reason NZ post labelled it as firearm part so was sent back. Anybody got a source for them?

So @BME APC9K is done. I’ll have a video of it at some point, I have quite a few to get done!
Will also have a video on installing the hopup barrel. Pretty easy but it will be heaps easier and less worry to follow the guide.
As for beemers APC… nozzle, piston and piston head, short stroked two teeth, hopup barrel. Done. With stock spring got 225fps. Standard was 220 so not bad, especially since the semi is a little snappier with short stroking. Efficienter-er!
Using a JG stock spring usually around 280fps got it up to 240fps. An m100 seen it up to 270-280 fps but with noticeable motor load on 7.4v.
To be expected. I doubt there much more to gain from such a short barrel.
Now hopup barrel works a treat. Was able to sky the gels pretty easy and then backed it off to gave a good range boost. Like em!

Awesome little blaster… again, wishing I had time to do mine, but glad to do others first! It’s not like I don’t have loads of others to choose from!

Does 11v fry the mosfet, on this unit.?

At the moment I’ve left the JG spring in it. It’s free. Spring change is one pin and two screws, so easy done.
Well… mines stock and I ran 11v at the last game. Will it fry it is anyone’s guess, I just don’t know!
If it frys mine I will just T238 it, currently it’s a good test for science!

Sorry for the long post everyone… but it is worth the read!
There was a curious set of circumstances! One where I sorta lied… no wait… withheld the truth! I’ve no need nor benefit to lie, and lying is something I see no point in, it always bites you in the end!
There was in fact TWO tan APC-9Ks.
I test all blasters for function before adding to inventory, and the second tan one did not power the magazine due to a later discovered mosfet and switch fault from factory.
I had already faffed with mine, added a grip and sights had a play with it… it wasn’t new the instant I got my hands on it. St the time I had been waiting 6 months and was excited to finally get one so I can’t be blamed for my enthusiasm!
I received a new gearbox to resurrect it with the mags. BME had requested a tan APC-9K from the before the start, and patiently waited I might add! So, there you go, full disclosure. There was always two, just one needed repair. The ONLY blaster out of the first shipment needing repair out of the box too!
Now BME’s blaster…
Given I was almost inside anyway… call it OCD of having to check things meant I opened the gearbox… the rest is history, things happened… messages and wonder happened… it got a nozzle, piston and piston head… the new 10 hole ones are awesome and I REALLY like them I might add, and the blue wide rack piston suits them really well too (shameless self plug!) …and of course the hopup barrel!
I short stroked it two teeth, with the stock spring, nozzle, piston, and head gained 5fps over stock, even with two teeth short stroked!
Semi auto response improved and so too would overall efficiency, auto remains the same.
The JG takeout spring got it to around 240fps- in most things with a full stroke these do about 280fps, so not bad considering the super short barrel and two teeth missing!
…and of course BME has opted for the m100 option, which gets it up around 270-280fps, and the hopup barrel gives it really impressive distance I am quite impressed!
Yes there will be a video in time, and I will have a video of fitting the hopup barrel as a few have requested soon.
The stock ETU is well improved since the XYL ARP9 ones I have seen previously, version 1 to 4 are all different and inferior. This is the V5 ETU from XYL, and looks quite decent. Will it last with BMEs trigger finger, 11v, and an m100… taking bets now! It is anyones guess.
I have been using 11v with mine though it is un-modded internally at this time (very weird for me I know!) and so far has been fine. If it fails… It will get a T238, so I understand the risk and potential “forced upgrade” scenario, so does BME 
And now there is ABSOLUTELY NO TAN APC-9K left! But there is more in the next shipment.
So there you go, all out in the open!
BME and myself are exclusively the only people with tan APC-9Ks, and we are risking them for science! Data to be shared should the worst happen! The XYL nylon gearbox is one of the toughest nylon boxes around, the only thing we are really risking is the ETU!
And yes I am happy to upgrade any blaster before shipping. Just contact me before placing the order! There is a wait time of 1-2 weeks at the moment, and you lose the AKgelblaster warranty, but you gain the Gel Ball Nobody warranty, which covers work carried out and parts installed… and I am understanding and lenient with warranties, so I will cover something from AKgelblaster if I deem it to be a factory flaw or failure that would have occurred without upgrades. All part of the custom service one should offer.
Hope this explains it all, and everyone understands I am only hoping to offer good working order stuff, and I don’t just fix, I improve!

That is a service I can provide! My wait times are not getting better though, I am already at 2+ weeks at times now, which I don’t love, might need to drop back my main job for blasters soon, hopefully!
My wait times can extend to meet yours. No pressure, don’t mind if more lucrative work comes ahead of my stuff. When you’re ready, im ready. 2 weeks ago i didn’t think id ever have an Uzi in my collection, yet voila! I can wait a bit longer to have that itch scratched.

Generally everything goes in the queue! One at a time I get through them, unless it is something that needs adhesive curing over night I will start on the next one then come back to it the next day.
Unless it is waiting for parts from the outset, I prefer to start something and finish it shortly after… much better than opening something then waiting for parts… coming back to it weeks later wondering how it went together!
You might not be the only one with an Uzi on the queue when they land.

While I do like to think I am alright at M4s and they aren’t terrible to work on, they are very vanilla to work on at this point… thousands later it will happen! I really look forward to working on different stuff, it keeps things interesting and keeps my brain from turning to mush. I do enjoy a challenge
