B709 Questions - Conditions Of Import

im not sure about mentioning the fact it was used by the resistance, just in case they think it’s going to be converted into a lethal weapon to use as weapon of resistance against the establishment :sweat_smile::joy:

@BME I was also wondering if I should put the entire name from the listing or just “Sten MKII Gel Blaster”

Sten mk 2 should be fine.
Just be sure to include a link to the page, so they can see the advert on the webpage…

awesome. thank you, always an awesome help, cheers :clinking_glasses:

So I was poking around QPS’s website looking for the b709a form and I was suprised to find that b709a’s can be applied for online now, but from what I can tell, you can’t download the previously available b709a .pdf

however theymay still be available at your local QPS station.

Alas, there is a slight problem I have stumbled across…

One of the questions asks you to provide your authority and only gives you two options

“Weapons Licence Number
or
Other Lawful Authority”

As I do not have a weapons licence, I am unsure how to proceed if I was trying to apply for a b709a for anything I wished to purchase that was not currently available through local retailers in Australia

perhaps @BME may be able to shed some insight? I know he has obtained many b709a’s previously in the past

This is the only information I can find on their website that mentions gel blasters regarding their import requirements

Sounds like your after a b709, for the tec-9.

I’ve already done mine.

Other lawful authority, would mean some official id, to legally verify who you are.

Ie drivers license number etc.

I assume that’s the case, I just use my cat. A license number.

Don’t be too concerned, it’s nothing to worry about…

Mention the item you are after, is not available in Australia…

lol I figured you would’ve been straight onto that :joy: your own b709a for the tec-9 I mean :joy::rofl:

I found them on a few other websites since I first spotted them, one that does PayPal so figured that would be the safest bet to purchase from overseas.

But yeah awesome, drivers licence it is…

thanks mate :call_me_hand:t2:

You can get it printed out. Request at your nearest Police station and they will rip a copy out for you.

They just make it a bit fucky so you can’t do it yourself. Welcome to Australia.

nah it was a pretty simple process doing it online, I just wasn’t sure about their authority question as I don’t have a weapons licence, but it’s all filled out and submitted now, so hopefully it’ll be approved and now it’s a digital submission process it won’t take as long to be approved :+1:t2:

Takes about 2-3 weeks.
Wait 2 week, if it still hasn’t arrived by then , place your order anyway.

Stuff usually takes about 6-10 days to arrive, so b709 will be valid and in your possession, when the blaster arrives…

I believe @AKgelblaster has been working to get blasters stocked in Australia.

Not sure if there are still issues getting single blasters out of China.

Either way, looks like we are all going to have a b709a ready for them just in case!

I emailed m416gelblasters.

I asked them, can they ship to Australia.

They answered, yes, they can.

I don’t know where there’re based…they give a UK address, but who knows where they really are…?

Maybe they have a pathway, of getting blasters out of China, into other countries.??

@AKgelblaster , are you able to source the gel tec-9’s , and send them into Oz.??

I’d prefer to buy from you, but if you can’t send them yet, I’ll go with m416…

Does akgelblaster have an Australian warehouse? When I went to their website it said they ship to Australia but you need a b709 permit?

No Australian warehouse for AKGelblasters.

But worth going through the B709a process and buying from them if they have something you want that’s unavailable here in Oz.

AKGelblasters is the only overseas supplier that’s proactive on this forum and they have a well deserved stellar reputation for customer service and communication.

Definitely need a B709a to ship blasters from them however.

Please forgive my ignorance, wouldn’t we prefer to purchase from AKGel regardless of if the stock was available in Australia or not, or is there a tax I’m not taking into account here?

For example:

$100+ saving with the charger and battery included.

Don’t forget the conversion to $AU on that listing. Puts it up to AU$487, still cheaper than TEH, but you may be comparing the price to a fairly exxie retailer there.

Seriously, if you compare prices of the same blaster between Oz based retailers you’ll see a wild swing.

Some retailers mark up significantly compared to others, and that’s not even considering individual sales and discounts. That’s why shopping around is critical if bucks are your priority. It is for me, and I know that many retailers get their stock from one particular importer/retailer so I usually look there first and find them cheaper. :man_shrugging:

But some people prefer to support their favourite retailer regardless of whether they can get the same gear cheaper somewhere else… and that’s cool too. :+1:

Yeah on the site it automatically converts though on here it shows USD :man_shrugging: but yeah I know what you mean, can certainly understand those enthusiasts who want to support their local shops and rightfully so, as long as those shops aren’t taking advantage of those of us who can be a little more naive, I would have thought a lot more of these shop owners would be more active on forums like this one.

Does anyone know how long it typically takes to receive your package from AKG? (estimated), we talking weeks or months?

Getting your b709…2-3 weeks.

Getting from Hk…about 7-10 days.

Last time we checked , @AKgelblaster was still having issues shipping Out of HK…china govt regulations…

Lets see if they have changed.

If drumpf slaps tarriffs on everyone, they might look to relax other areas of trade…

Also, local vs o/s…

availability of parts…

Im considering getting a UDL P320 pistol…new Gen Electric.

ihobby have them, but they are too expensive for what they are… a 200 fps blaster.

they are standard, dont have any upgrade springs etc… so thats it.

M416gelblaster, is a different story…

$210 Aud for the blaster, they also sell 1.2 upgrade spring, batteries, mags, metal outer and inner barrels, hop up etc…

Much better value for money…lets see what the upgrades really do…

The risk is, something goes wrong, no local support…

I mean if you are paying 1/5th the price, the risk seems almost worth it, I’d imagine they would refund a DOA right? or is M416 the site everyone is sketchy of?

its not that cheap…its $210 instead of $340.

Ive used m416 before, and they’ve been fine.

AKgelblaster is awesome, and my go to point of reference…

The problem is, when i last checked, they still cant ship out of HK.

M416 are Saying them can ship to Aust… i dont know where they really are…

Akgelblaster has gone out of there way to help me in the past, they are very trustworthy, and my go to O/S retailer…

I got my Sten through them… and she sent over my TEC-9 shell ejectors, before the gel versions were released…
