Good evening GBF. Recently I disassembled my v2 gen9 gearbox to find any way to insert pistol grip nuts that for some reason never been there. After finding out there’s no way to put the nuts due to being too big I assembled gearbox back, and it’s all functional except for bolt catch. It don’t catch anything, too high or something.
I’ve tried too Google it out and got nothing. Plus I ended up with little screw I simply forgot where it goes and can’t even guess where.
Nice work mate, this gen9 is years ahead of the gen9s we in Australia are used to seeing which are all around 7-8 years old with totally different gearbox.
Gen 9 boxes are a different shape, they have a curve on the back of them to fit the receiver… unless JM have redesigned the Gen 9 shell. The V2s are straight and don’t fit Gen 9s. Easy to see in this photo.
Newer “gen9” is wizard’s… jin Ming has changed hands and moulds etc over time… because why not muddy the waters!
Of course here is Australia we never seen the newer one.
