And trust me, if it was a copy it was a damn 1:1 precise copy down to the accessories. I have no reason to believe this isn’t an actual LDT ATM gearbox nor that the problems with it are inherent to the design. I sold mine off - couldn’t be bothered to keep dealing with this nonsense. If you want to keep messing with it then be my guest but imo it is not worth dealing with at all.

they’ll try not to give you a refund, they’ll try for store credit but if you’re firm and stand your ground you should get your money back. they definitely have a bad reputation for customer service
Apparently it is a 1:1 copy. I’ve found to be able to tell is the genuine one actually says ATM on the bolt slide and the copy is just a black plain bolt
100% mate, lucky we have some of the best consumer laws here, but I’ve found if you stand your ground like you said they usually have no choice as it could go a lot further.

I have the original ATM, there are very minor differences. Here is one of the differences you can validate. The one on left is a clone ATM, the one on right is the original ATM.
The clone ATM is not bad but the one with a cheap shell likely comes with the clone ATM . The quality and performance for the clone is same as the original - around 230 FPS. It is a good value if someone is looking for EBBR, however as a retailer, a clone is a clone. I will always describe it as a replica that works similar as the original one explicitly

I’ve been doing more research and have found that WAT sells metal LDT receivers for the ATM box, and that yes you can’t use a standard m4 shell. They also sell the genuine gearbox on there aswell. Pretty keen still. Sadly the cyclone is making my blaster take a little longer then expected to arrive.
I just remember to absolute roastings he got on the old forum

Hey @AKgelblaster how can I tell which LDT receivers work with the ATM? I haven’t got my gun yet but already I’ll want to upgrade to a metal receiver. There’s also a SCAR LDT kit I found that comes without a gearbox, would this work aswell.
I’ve had a little search online but can’t find anything. I’ve found your website also, so if you have any links to receivers on your site I’d be happy
I could no get LDT ATM box to fit into my LDT Scar H. Bolt release does not line up and after removing heaps of plastic inside receiver still a no go. Put a Taranis in it instead and put the LDT ATM into a classic army XM177 which was a bit of a task in itself.

Yeah I was thinking it would most likely be better in the m4/hk style receiver. I found a place that has a metal LDT hk416 receiver but they only have them in tan 
How are you going with the ATM? And what Gels do you use?
Nothing a coat of paint won’t fix mate.
