Budget Bling Bits...! Dressed up MP5-k.!

In the never ending quest for truth, justice, and getting the highest fps out of nylon cheapies…

i present to you, the SHENG YE Mp5-k.

Like a wife with a dowry, this comes dressed up to the 9’s, with extras to seal the deal…
In order for you to overlook some obvious concerns about performance, longevity and quality…

Its all about the bling, right…!?

This is a budget blaster… $130 from cybertrigger.

From the outset, i know it will be similar to the MP-9 performance…
Small proprietry gearbox, with limited upgrade capability.

Still, what caught my eye was all the cool accessories.
A few little tasty extras.

Lets start from the outside.

Standard looking box, right.??

Tilt it the right way, and like the da vinci code…all the secrets are revealed…

The blaster is kitted out…upper Pic rail, multi stage extending stock…

Look at the Bitz, ya Getz…!!

With the exception of the supp… that was mine…

It has a 14mm ccw thread, and the birdcage is tight friction fit.

The upper Pic rail is nylon, but works just fine…and fits properly.

The multi stage extendable stock, is the star of the show.
I haven’t seen one of these before…and yes, they do fit JM MP5’s…

They do rattle around a bit, but that is part of the design, and unavoidable.
they pull out step by step easily…and retract just as easily. Locks in well.

Overall, quite stable when out.
Bit of a tight fit to get on a JM, but they go on, no fettling , and are toight, toight, toight…!!

Likewise JM stocks also swap over…

The red dot is a fake, but looks the part.

I painted over some of the text…it was quite bold and stark.
QD design, and all plastic…it serves its aesthetic purpose.

Anyway, onto the blaster…

Fully Nekkid.

Its a clamshell design, and will get pulled down…tomorrow…

Its a combo nylon/ plastic jobby…pretty decent, and light weight.
Less weight than the JM, so probably thinner, less beefy shell.

Its quite adequate though.

Battery is 11v, proprietry, and goes into the handle…

This rules out V2 gearbox use, so expecting smaller combined motor / gearbox.

It has a charging handle with mag prime, but be careful with it…no HK slaps, its thin nylon.

Magazine capacity is small, and coupled with a 11v battery, it goes through it quite quickly.
They have spare mags, at $15.

It does have blowback, that will be disabled. It also has a transparent plastic gearbox…you can see the piston cycling.

The rail is decent, stiff nylon, and holds weight easily.

Size wise, its all the right dimensions and shape, compared to the JM.

So, how does it go.?.?

The big question…

As you’d expect…

160-170 fps. Nothing awesome…yet.

When i pull this apart, i expect it to be much like the TEC-9…
Small cylinder, small barrel, nylon gears and not much to be done.

Maybe a small spring upgrade…but im thinking the weak nylon gears will be limiting.

Honestly, i didnt expect too much from this.
It was all about the bling.

The main accessory was the extending stock, thats metal and worth the purchase alone. JM compatability confirmed.

The rails also decent too…

It looks cool all kitted out…and very quiet, so good for noise sensitive households and areas. Even quieter with blowback gone.

If this can be squeezed up to 200 fps, that’ll be a win.

A very cheap price point, worth it if you don’t have a MP5K and want one…
Or are just after the accessories…

Presto-changeo…!!

JM transplant complete.

All the bits, on the JM

For any JM’ers, contemplating the accessories…

Its all a good fit.

The Rear stock is a good tight fit. Don’t even need the pin.

The top rail fits perfectly on the JM.

It fits into the slots on the JM frame.

Sitting just above the slots, in the pic above.

When its on, the front rest and front sight fork all line up properly.

Its all held on by 4 allen key screws.

The cheapy model has 4 holes drilled.
You could use them as 4 grubscrews, if you dont wanna drill holes in your JM.

Alternatively, you could use some hot glue, to hold in place temporarily.

You can get all the gear, on a JM with better performance.

If you consider it a accessory kit, with a spare kids blaster, you wont go wrong.

I think folding / extending stocks were being sold around $80 locally.

I haven’t seen this extending stock type on the MP5 before…has anyone else released them.??

Looks good there Beemer. It says HK on the box so must be good.

It needs a paint job, some of it’s worn off. What shade are we going for?  :+1:

I believe it’s fifty shades of weathering :smirk::joy::rofl:

Looks good mate, and with better performance on the JM can’t go wrong for the price.

The stock is a B&T MP5 stock, might look familiar to those with an APC9K
For the MP5 no one released them here that I am aware of, but I have seen a few people who got them in, low numbers for the LDT MP5.

With all that weathering…

its gone grey overnight…

Dare i say it…
50 shades, of grey .?.?

Ok… someone break out the Ventolin…

This things Asthmatic…!!

Which comes as no surprise, at this price point.

Tiny motor, small gears, small cylinder volume… not much to see here.

Nothing a M140 wont sort out…!!

Broke out the dremel, cut off the tabs for the blowback.

Have to actually cut it right down to the shell to get clearance… and a bit off the plate as well… but got there

Quieter now.

So, as expected from a ultra cheap nylon jobby… 160 fps it is, a-la tec 9.

Its a quiet, backyard bug sniper…

Buy it for the stock and rail, and get a cheapy kids blaster…

That gearbox looks like it was made from an inhaler :smirk::joy:

I know a Super Doc that can fix that up. He’s next door. Give you a free flu vax too while he’s at it.

Funniest thing is I don’t have to visit him, he comes to see me. I’m like well bend over where does my credit card go, we both end up laughing as he’s bigger than me but a gentle giant. Top fellow.

This is rare, I get a Doctor on call to fix my bits up when nobody can even find a doc incl my Mum and Dad in the big smoke.

We have a good laugh, oh come in to the local he’s on call we are due for a beer. So I go in, we didn’t even touch beer, his phone is bing bonging away, I was driving my car. Oh hang on getting a call out, address, I know where that is, 50M behind me. Errk, reverse, spool up, here Doc, you want me to wait, na jump in with the Ambos if he has too. Younger fella has head troubles and was siezuring, spun up the Helo after several heart attacks to fly him down to the RAH once stabilized enough for flight.

Few bump starts required. I should put more lights on my Ranger, inbound hot  :v:

I was like bugger, all I wanted was one beer with a mate, missed out again. :+1:
