I have a longer one of those barrels to install into an SLR ION shortly
After doing loads for everyone else, grabbed a beer and fettled and laughed at something for me.
The LDT MP5-SD6 project is done… for now!
With the new assembled LDX Advanced, and 3d printed handguard and suppressor, and a T238 29k brushed motor it works well. Hopup hidden neatly in the end, and easily accessible by taking off the can.
Now for the fun. Stock spring is 260-280fps. Enough, but why not try the limits. I tried a variety of springs, up to M140 which pulled some well stupid fps . It worked and it lives! Only thing I changed, was the cylinder to a 90% to suit the 313mm barrel. Stock came with a 60% which didn’t suit so naturally I changed it. Other than that, the whole box is as it comes from LDT!
Settled on an M100 as that still got 340fps, probably settle down to 330fps with a bit of use.
Also used the new spring drum mag, which I am very happy with. Might need a second one.
Hold loads more gels than the traditional MP5 drum, and feeds flawlessly! And best of all there are no pieces, its one unit. You open the door, rotate the front, load gels and close the door, then let the front go and you good to go with around 280 gels.
Yes… there will be a video in time, though some is missing audio (F***ing microphone turning itself off!) but you’ll get what matters out of it and I will make it work.

Tried to sand the suppressor to give it a matter black look, 10 minutes in and gave up for the day need some more sandpaper!

Definitely want to see Beemer’s PPSH eventually, always up for seeing something different that I haven’t seen before.
Good idea offering a sanitised version for iHobby’s website, Rok… somehow I don’t think they share your unique sense of humour over there.
How about a T238 ETU in a CYMA nylon gearbox with metal gears?
Biggest catch is that most of my videos are jobs for customers so I haven’t really been choosing what to do, working with what a customer wants and their budget is most of my work and therefore videos.
It should be noted that after the listed videos… there is to be a series of vector videos.
I have two to do with poly boxes… then once the MK boxes are done I have one… possibly two of them to do.
Also not all my work is in videos, just noteworthy and interesting stuff.

Sunday is a bonus LDX fart around video, which I filmed on a Sunday, it was nice to relax with a beer and just fart around with my own stuff! Remember, my work bench IS a bar?
Filming is done for the review, PPSh, and a repair of a absolute shit show…
Need to get these edited an of into the Toobs cloud to free space for the Vectors I am doing now!
There will be quite a few Vectoring videos in the next month or two, again… work on my bench largely dictates the content!

funny how it did 275 stock…then 315 after spring upgrade…
then the drop in performance…
I suspect your right…it must be some lube/oil holding the seal initially…
That gets displaced after some use.
New Airseal fix is how they should be out of the factory…
Yes you may go through a few hop-ups taming the fps on it! Nature of high FPS unfortunately.
I do think these newer CYMAs have two things with air seal…
The standard lube has a good seal, but doesn’t last.
And their o-rings shrink slightly with use. Nitrile butadiene rubber does this, but a little more thickness on the standard o-rings would mitigate it easily.
You get the piston that works the best! I love the pink pistons, they have proven well for me but they are a bit tight on the runners in some gearboxes.
I do have a blue version of the pink pistons coming (out of them for a while) and they are a little less tight on runners. Gives good options!
As much fun as obliterating styrofoam is… it is a prick to clean up!

Yeah you got a huge FPS gain with that SCAR, for sure. 
Yet somehow I think if it were mine I’d be dropping that spring back to give it a slightly more manageable FPS. 
Maybe someone at the spring factory was having a bad day when it came time to package.
You need one of those styrofoam manikin heads, strictly for testing purposes of course 
" If it Beads…we can kill it…!!!"
