Genesis Gen 12

Has anyone ever bought the jw4 genesis gen 12 blaster? I’m just curious if anyone has a review on it if anyone bought one at all…

FYI, I’m not interested in buying one, just curious if this thing even got sold to someone.

Na, proprietry mags killed that one as there was not enough mags available at the time being a 12G copy iirc.

And also not being an actual shotgun was a massive letdown.

Just like the Saiga12 I think DB did, it was literally just an AK blasyer with a Saiga handguard

i hope for some engineering miracle for gel blasters in the future where we can actually have actual functioning trishot shotguns

Well the GE gas shotguns work really well, they only drawback ATM is the ammo capacity.

They are just an upmarket fancy bodied double bell m4… I know in Airsoft they get a better quality gearbox shell, but pretty much internals are the same as any db m4.

Agreed that it isn’t a shotgun was a let down.
Very cool piece but also pricey for what you get.

The GE shotties are pretty good fun, with small protruding mags (especially in the 6 shot mode!) being the only let down. They actually work really well, the 3 ball mode is good, still packs what feels like 300fps, and you get 5 shots of them.

I didn’t buy the new Golden Eagle shotguns, they feed on magazines. If I want a shotgun, it have to be shell ejecting and use proper shells (like the APS shotguns or the Golden Eagle 1887 Long Lever Action shotguns)

Each to their own but those can’t compete against a gas shotty, they’re only good as a prop.

Just looks like another AR derivative to me. Not enough like a shottie to bother with, even as a display piece. :person_shrugging:

But an AA-12 on the other hand…

Now that’s a shottie… shame it’s just a shell ejecting foamie.

shiiiiitt… whered u get that thing tho?

Came out a while back in gel form… not good performers but look cool. :person_shrugging: There’s a full thread on the AA-12s in here.

X-Force & Armoured Heaven are still selling them… around $400. Come with a stick mag and a drum.

The foamies can be converted easily into gel but they were problematic.
