Eco-Friendly Ammo: The GLE-817 uses environmentally friendly gellet balls. These biodegradable beads vanish after drying, leaving no mess behind.
Enhanced Performance: Experience the thrill of rapid fire with a rate of 300 rounds per minute and a shooting range of 15-20 meters. The blaster boasts an impressive firepower of 150 FPS and a rate of fire of 5-7 RPS.
Upgraded Design: We’ve revamped the GLE-817 for superior speed, ultra-long shooting distance (up to 60 feet), and stability.
The GLE-817 is more than just a toy; it’s a gateway to adventurous, safe, and environmentally conscious play. Get ready to aim, shoot, and enjoy endless hours of fun.
Yea, it gets compared alot to the x2 on youtube, my hope in starting this topic is that i can list upgades (if any (also where to get them), also highlighting common issues and how to fix them, as it is similar to the x2 im guessing the same things will apply.
For 15 United Kingdom pounds i think its a good buy.
It’s a decent enough electric pistol if it’s a clone of the X2. Cheap at that price too, I’d suggest not messing with it and enjoy it as it is.
Not many options for upgrades, unfortunately… just the usual suspects. Stronger spring maybe… but then you seriously risk stripping gears.
Go GBB if you want a hard hitting pistol. Electrics are not about high FPS, especially the older designs. Can’t speak to the newer EBB units, they haven’t been around long enough.
No, im not called corey. As i said im just trying to give people a useful guide on this and any other clones/variations of this pistol as there really is nothing about them out there. Everything i see is rifle/machine gun based im not a fan of them.
Haha i just realised the first post does look abit like an advert, that was not my intention, it was mearly the best way to show all info about it.
Most of the mods you’re looking at there are AEG rifle mods and can’t really be performed on an electric pistol.
A mild spring upgrade might give you an extra 10 or so FPS, but in my opinion not worth it considering the risk of stripping nylon gears.
As far as upgrading the piston seal, I think you’ll find it’s a cup seal and not upgradeable. The odd sized cylinder means grafting an o ring piston head on to the piston isn’t viable, you’re pretty much stuck with the cup arrangement.
The nozzle will no doubt be part of the cylinder moulding and therefore not upgradeable.
7.2mm rubber balls will probably not function well in your pistol as the flexibility of a softer gel ball plays a huge part in air sealing. The rubber balls might exit the barrel but at swollen prostate FPS levels. That’s not something we can test here in Australia because anything other than gels in these blasters makes them illegal… we don’t have airsoft, for example.
In short, the best way to upgrade your pistol is to buy a GBB. Hope all that helps.
