Has anyone got either of these ones?

im trying to decide which one i like the look of the most.

if anyone has either mind throwing up some photos please.

cheers

Just throwing this out there, a lot of ppl here have opinions about taccy toys.

Personally I’ve never dealt with them but they don’t have a great history.

i find them fine.

i just want opinions on those 2 blasters and pictures if anyone has either to help me decide which one haha,.

are you shopping there in person or having your purchases shipped?

Buy a WE 1911 forget about Double Bell . Their quality is not very good (of course WE is more expensive)

Double Bell G17 SAI

I’ve never fallen into the custom Glock market/craze, as I’ve always maintained a ‘Stock Glock’ mantra - it’s Glock Perfection after all.

However after going through and prepping a bunch of stock for my retailer yesterday - lubing/oiling and test firing all the make model pistols before sale, one that stood out to me the most was the G17 SAI.

Besides the aesthetics, I was really sold on the grip fit and feel, the very sharp and snappy recoil - most likely attributed to the overall :feather: weight of the gun itself, mag extension and overall price.

It obviously has the Wick-esque flavour to it, but frankly I don’t rate TTI that much and feel his products overshadows alot of other genuinely more competitive and superior engineered platforms on the market for a much cheaper price.

Your thoughts on this pistol?

Can confirm they are noticeably snappier than the stock Glock slide versions. A little surpring when you compare them after a bunch of the vanilla 17s.

don’t buy a Double Bell pistol buy an E&C TTI Glock 17 ( which is around same price but better quality)

I have an earlier version without the gold trimmings and additional lettering on the outer barrel

I was extremely lucky enough to be gifted it along with a few other blasters by a very generous forum member during one of his blaster giveaways when he was clearing out some of his collection

Thank you very much again Sir @Friendly_Fire of Have-a-glock :sweat_smile::joy:

I haven’t used any other gbb Glocks to compare it to, but it definitely feels nice in the handy and has snappy trigger response, only issue I’ve found is getting the perfect gels for it as mine sometimes shatters the ultra hards

Comparing the two, the E&C model frankly looks much less inspiring and plain compared to the DB - sourcing those examples from Cybertrigger (Gen 3) and XFORCE (Gen 5). Plus my biggest pet peeve with E&C (and WE) pistols is the crap carboard :package: they come in.

Furthermore, my retailer (the only one I go through now) doesn’t stock E&Cs anyway - they’re the only ones that deserve my cash; The major players can bend over and suck their own greengas.

Finally as highlighted in my OP - It’s a TTI = :person_gesturing_no:

BTW - Going by your very brief posts, you’re clearly anti DB…any specific reasons why?

For a freebie, cant complain no doubt. Was this the actual retail model or just an aftermarket slide kit added to a base 17?

As for gels getting smashed up, is it anything to do with mag (tight spring?). I’m having that problem on my DB P226 despite running ultras.

Regardless, I’m chucking some dough on it tomorrow for lay-by along with a spare mag…luckily my retailer allows me that flexibility none of the others do!

I honestly couldn’t tell you sorry, maybe friendly will see the post and provide some more info, knowing that he likes to play around with modify his blasters he might have done some mods to it.

it’s been a while since I’ve used it. Taking it with me to my partner’s place for the weekend to have a play with it

Worth noting, I think many DB GBB barrels are 7.1mm, so smaller gels are less likely to mash.
Summer cat greens a touch under grown have worked well for me.

They’re exactly what I was planning on trying with it this weekend… ive got some two weeks old summer greens I’ll try and I’ll brew another batch of freshies n let youse know how they go but I’m confident they should go pretty sweet, even brought my chrono for shits and giggles lol :joy:

Yeah, that DB Salient is as I bought it, so pretty much unmodified. :+1: Just well lubed.

If you’ve been running it on 12kg or 14kg Puff Dino and it’s smashing gels, maybe try Abbey Predator Ultra green gas, more mid powered.

I always ran it on Abbey Predator with no confetti issues, mostly using UltraElites or iHobby ultrahards. :person_shrugging:

I brought the 144 green abbey gas for the weekend,

I have a can of red Abby gas but I didn’t bring it this weekend.

Edit: Just realised I’ve got it backwards and should be using the red abbey predator gas  but the mags haven’t been used in a while so the 144a gas shouldn’t hurt it, I hope

Fkn night shift frying my brain again :exploding_head:

What RMR could I run on the SAI - Specifically something from iHobby only? (my retailer only sources from them)

Any ideas for RMR options on these?

I haven’t tried mounting a sight on any of my gas pistols yet,

This one specifically says rmr sight but not sure how you’d go about mounting it on the sai as there’s no rail, might be able to screw it on, maybe :man_shrugging:

Mate, you’re not going to be able to mount a red dot to that slide of yours :disappointed:

It’s not an optic ready or MOS slide.

This is a G19X MOS -

That plate on the rear of the slide - you remove it and replace it with a plate that suits the red dot you want to mount.
This came with a selection of plates to suit different ones -

You then screw the red dot to that plate -

This one uses the No2 plate above.
