I’ve mounted one of those sights on a Glock (DB G22 and E&C G19X)
Needed an RMR base for Glock, that I picked up from Armoured Heaven (it was left over from an installation on Hi-cappa)
Had to machine the pic rail off the sight base and then drill and tap for M3 grub screws - that fitted to the base plate.

Unless it comes RMR ready then yes… and possibly some machining.
Optics on handguns is always something I’ve never gotten into due to holstering issues. I prefer keeping my pistols simple.

Re: Optics on handguns…yes generally the same opinion, although being a non stock Glock that won’t get holstered freq - maybe in a level 1 or 2 passive retention, just seeing how far it can get tricked out without pushing the envelope too much.
By the looks and sounds, too much unnecessary tinkering and $ for my likes.

Overall guess I’ll just stick with a $20 set of fibre optics from iHob instead.

It comes with a picatinny mount. Will fit if the base plate will accept the mitred pic base. In the real world you normally get the baseplate for the selected optic from the pistol manufacturer. In the hobby world the cheap optic supplier can provide baseplates for common models like Glock and hicappa.

Good move. Easy to hit something within 30m if your gels are OK, the gas pressure doesnt mash the gel, the mag spring feeds the gel and you remember to cock the thing.
The RMR is in the drawer and basic sights reinstalled
Didn’t have a problem with level 1 retention holster. Level of 2 retention depends on specific hood for RMR

My retailer only stock Dino, albeit at more competitive prices without the unnecessary travel or postage fees associated with going elsewhere for alt brands.
Mag Springs - at least the mag stocked in box appear OK, but I always get a secondary.
Holster - I only utilised the Cytac Mega Fit (no hood), definitely the only decent product I got from Viper.
And yes, the feed does vary between cocking techniques. Precocking before inserting a loaded mag tends to cause double feeds (or no feeds), as opposed to cocking after inserting magazine.
However before I insert a loaded mag, I traditionally have slide locked to rear, insert mag, then overhand release. Unfortunately using mag release catches to release on gbbs does cause premature wear on both catch and slide notch as opposed to real deal steel.
There are rear sight replacements that have a plate for a sight to mount to. As with anything gel there is a good chance whatever you get will need a little feeling to fit nicely.
I think laylax do one but can’t remember.
I’m not a fan of red dots on pistols though so never really payed it alot of attention sorry.

There definitely is no cut and dry solution to this by sounds.
Pity the Salient models didn’t feature an RMR/MOS cut out - given they’re a tricked up diva piece that looks best decked out.
