"Hey you, how's tricks.....Is that a ZB-26.?.?.?!"

There is a bren gun gel blaster but I’m pretty sure it’s even lower power (fps) than the ZB26 and looks far more plasticky

Also takes 9-11mm gels

9-11mm gels… I tried those once in a M203 GL.

It’d be more effective stopping off at the bakery on the way to the skirmish field and buying a couple of dozen custard tarts to throw at your tangos.

They are calling that a “Bren Gun”, but it’s basically just a cheap copy of the ZB26 with some minute little changes.

This is the proper Bren model that’s so well known.

17566951386233653836873095083353

A very different beast but can easily see where they stole this design from!

Oi I told you before the Bren gun was not stolen. Bruno modified it initially in .303 upon Englands request, then licensing it out for Enfield to produce in numbers. BRuno ENfield.

The axis powers robbed and raped it.

Of course it was stolen!

Like all the other ZB26 copies, no other country had ANYTHING close to the technology of the ZB26!

Yeah the Poms made a much more highly advanced model with the Bren, with adjustable Gas Blocks and improved Barrels etc, but were still only copies of the OG Czech ZB26 design.

They are just evolutions, chrome lined barrel, caliber change to 7.62. Every firearm goes through it when in service for a long time.

Exactly mate, taking a basic Czech design and improving it to meet their requirements. :ok_hand:

Still would never have existed without the original ZB26 design to copy from!

Had fun on the range after they had converted the complement of Brens to 7.62. Was the end of financial period and we had several .303 Brens, cases of about to be superseded .303 ammunition, concrete blocks at intervals down the range and a bunch of cadets to load magazines.

After about 30 minutes all we had was concrete dust, piles of brass and some really hot barrels. Only time I got to do a full mag dump - and no lectures on trigger control. Glad I didn’t have to clean those gas regs

Trigger control was a very enforced discipline with the Bren and pretty much every other weapon supplied to the Armed Forces.

I’m not blowing smoke up your arse, only trying to add additional information for anyone following this thread. :sunglasses:

The fkn American Troops were renowned for unloading a thousand rounds into the jungle because a Swallow farted, whereas the Australian Troops were trained for “One shot, one kill” only.

Now that would have been fun! :+1:

@DocBob @BME Hey guys i brought a ZB26 from GBU and it has arrived no red piece on the inner barrel, the GBU guys said it is fine and they don’t have the red thing anymore. Anyway i am wonder if i can just use some tape- Duct tape instead of glue as i cannot be bothered doing such a permanent solution, will this work?

As per my previous photo, the orange ring is a locator.
It’s a loose friction fit, to hold the barrel in place.

Honestly, OOTB performance is pathetic…
And part of that is the nonexistent seal, with the barrel into the tpiece.

So, yes, you could wind tape around in loops, to build up a friction fit locator…

But that will do zero for the air seal.

If you can live with low fps…fine…if not…pull it apart.
Also worth mentioning the t piece is super fragile…I’d be reinforcing it with resin from the get go.

If it breaks…game over…static display time…

@RokSolid did a awesome job, getting mine going…

Looking forward to the vid on this…!!

I see, with the tpiece i meant to use duct tape around t-piece and barrel connection to air seal it as a low effort solution?

The barrel fitting and sealing in the tpiece is a minor air loss compared to the piston o-ring.

And be VERY delicate with the tpiece. There are no replacements, no second chances. If it cracks you will need to repair it. And the design of how it goes together does not lend itself well to a low risk of breaking it.

If confident in teching… it would be best to install the tpiece to the barrel outside of the blaster, then rebuild the entire blaster starting with the barrel assembly, the installing the gearbox last.

I wouldn’t say it is hard but it is different to most blasters, it is cripplingly under volumed. So the o-ring and tpiece seal is half the challenge, see my post back a little for the rest.

I will have a video soon of @BME 's. Hoping for next Friday… but might be the one after that it just depends on editing time… a fair bit of footage to go through, and videos are second priority to actually getting work done that makes the videos.

The hardest thing I found was space on the bench! Once the barrel and front end is assembled even with the stock off is a long blaster!

HAHA you did not tell me anything. Nor anyone else.

My head is usually screwed on the right way and I knew what you were up to. And good on you too. I was ah I know what he’s up to, zip it and see the results. Even if I’m a few k away I know what’s going on …

  :+1:

Don’t break Rok, just don’t you’ve been told.

 steady a she goes son :+1:

I’ll be forming a support group… " Techs Recovering After Modifying Beemer’s Extensive Collection Of Blasters"…

TRAMBECOB… sort of along the lines of a PTSD support group.

Rest assured @RokSolid , It’ll be there when you need it. :joy:

And you will… :rofl::rofl:

Thanks guys… it’s fine… I have a mate who is renowned for breaking everything… so far on my builds for him he has only had a return spring go.

I always do my best to keep things performing yet reliable so hopefully it is a little while before I need a support group

I need to lower my FPS…

Ah, the indication of a true addiction, @BME

Manipulating circumstances to divert blame and justify the satisfaction of the craving. :joy:

Go on… buy another… you know you want to.

You know I’m just yankin’ your chain, Beemer… buy as many as you want. :+1:
