Busy day, but quick review time.
Had a little visit down to xforce, and…

Continuing with the unboxing…
You get awful googles, premade gels, spare gels, USB-c charger, display stand, sticker, and certificate of authenticity…
In case someone tries to sell you, a cheap chinese made clone…!!
Blaster standing out of the package…
Chinese made gel balls are made of the highest quality materials.
They are NOT made, from radioactive fallout material.
They are NOT laced, with radioactive water.
They are NOT tagged with radioactive isotypes, to mutate victims into mindless behemoth monsters.
Really.
All jokes aside, a bit of a blurb on the blaster.
Being a small unit, it was never going to be a high FPS beast.
Thats ok… the box advertises 160 fps. Its Halo fans who will buy this.
Speaking to Scott, it does 180 fps-ish on Dragon Orbs, and 160ish on glows.
Full auto only.
Charging is via usb-c, underneath.
I did ask about the battery, it will die eventually, but im sure it can be pulled apart and replaced without too much drama.
I suspect nylon gears, so i wouldn’t consider upgrading the battery.
It is, what it is.
Its hopper fed. and has a central safety switch,
i.e. , your 3 central fingers must depress the switch, and then you can pull the trigger.
Its got funky lights, that change colour , on it, apparently they do other stuff, which i am unsure of right now.
The hopper has a built in light system, to charge the glow gels, on the way out. A self contained tracer system.
On the subject of the tracers, scott said " after soaking and growing them, strain them into a seive and run under running water, while shaking / rubbing them". This is to clean off the rough outer layer, which can build up and jam up the hopper system.
Im not going to test fps / rof tonight…im 2 shagged.
Maybe 2morrow.
Finally, if you buy a 2 pack, they knock $50 off.
Not bad value, with the included stand
Now excuse me, i have to break up a fight between the Sten and the Halo.
They’re fighting about being the same performance level, despite being centuries apart…!!
Is this Vic legal because I’ve always loved halo been playing it ever since my cousin showed me halo 2 on the original Xbox with the big fat controllers.
Vas did upload a video on it and mentioned it should be safe for Vic, Tas and NT.
WA and NSW can up themselves thanks to the weak efforts of politicians.
It sure doesn’t resemble anything real so shouldn’t cause any issues with appearance laws.
Just don’t carry those tracer gels around in your pants pocket unless you want to develop a serious case of rockmelon gonads.
Who knows what particular type of Strontium-90 the Chinese use to make those suckers glow…
Growing some glow gels, to test 2night…
Yeah, i would NOT be drinking that water…!!
The glow gels are quite soft. break easy.
When the blaster is turned on, the lights are always on.
This includes the internal light, in the hopper chamber, to charge up the glowies.
Did some testing today, 160-180 fps with standard Xtac Boom’s.
Around 700 r/min. Standard 7.4v fare.
Vas should sell boatloads of these, as he can ship interstate, and the sci-fi appeal…
Now, about that full size Marine Rifle…
Night test.
The glow gels work well.
They splatter, and look like predator blood.
Had a few minor feeding issued with the glow gels.
At times, they seem to “clump together” and not go down the hopper feed.
A quick shake was needed to loosen them up, and feed again.
The Xtac booms, being heavier, seemed to feed a bit better.
I’ll try some more extended testing, and report back…
