JM AK47...(Or...Komrade, use Ak47, to send traitor Squiddy Footy off to heaven..!)

Not too many places, you can beef up with no more gaps, either…!!

I’ll get a metal rod from Bunnings 2morrow, for the stock.

I’m liking the extra weight.

Shot a coat of tamiya clear coat over the black nylon…
Darkens it and dulls the shiny plastic…makes it look duller.

Another of your tricks!

I’ll let it dry, and a bit of light silver rub buff…

Another of your tricks…!!

Happy days…!

a bit of rub-n-buff.

Hard to get the amount right…

A small dab, can turn into a large smear.

Oh well, a bit of metho tomorrow, to remove and try again…

It doesn’t look like shiny new plastic anymore…

Yea those V3’s don’t fall apart like the V2’s did.

Who’s having a proverbial piss now.

@BME These are a good thing to have in the toolbox, slimline, flexible and self adhesive, can tuck into all sorts of little spaces with some solid weight for their size. :ok_hand:

I build with the opposite goal in mind…

Less weight.

I actually got a perfect piece from bunnings…

12 mm steel rod, 1m long.

Cut it to a appropriate length…18cm.
Primed it, so it wont rust.

Hot glue, on bottom and top.
It sits on the bottom of the stock, so all the glue has to do, is hold it in position and not support the rods weight.

All worked well…

Buttstock now feels like solid real wood.

Much better, than the light flimsy feel

Ready to squish squirming squids…!!

Same as the old original Blasters, having chunks of rusty Chinese Rebar thrown into them for extra added weight :joy:

I’m the same @Friendly_Fire , lightweight is King for my field Blasters, but my replicas are FULL METAL wherever possible for the most realistic feel, and my M4 is actually HEAVIER than the real steel model! :astonished::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hope your cupboards full of top shelf Scotch thanks  :+1:
