It’s a tight fit, to get the battery in.
I was trying to get a kink memory shape, in the wire…
I normally do pull them out…

ill take 3 unused please
Wow.!!
Thats a pile.!!
What are the prices, for used / unused please.?
Fkn stockpile…
Guess it pays to grab spares of rares
Yeah only way to get the upper in safely is to remove the outer barrel, install upper then install outer barrel.
Not too bad, bit annoying if the hopup also needs to be removed to get the barrel off… and to remove the hopup the flash hider removed from the metal outer barrel… gel blaster things!
Thanks for that.
I’ll have to see, how the outer barrel comes off.
I’ll pull it apart when I get more gearbox bits…I’ll grab a nylon gen8.
Maybe transplant the metal gears etc into it.
Is the outer hard to get off.?
It’s deceiving… it comes out easily , but just wouldn’t go back in.
The barrel is back in, but the seal is compromised for sure…
I don’t know what the current spring is.
But, no stronger than m100 for new nylon gearbox.?
I wouldn’t go over an m100 in a nylon box, or with a 460 motor as it will start struggle.
Also @DocBob could attest, the singularity gearbox shell is a solid beast! Singularity has better clearance for metal gears too, so no worries with the spur being tight.
The outer barrel should just unscrew, a normal clockwise thread.
I am not sure why I bought so many spare mags. I paid around $30 each for the mags but am happy to sell the unused ones for $15 each plus whatever the postage is. I am in Gladstone so pick up will probably not be an option. I will throw in a used mag or 2 if you buy some unused ones. Just let me know what you think.
Hey, great price, thanks.
I’ll pm you with further details…!
I have 1 unused LDT UMP mag and 2 used mags left. I am happy to send them together as a package for $30 posted if anyone is interested.
Speaking of Singularity gearboxes… I found one in my box of sheissen today! Plus a spare set of 18:1 SHS gears… Lucky With Me, hey? If you know, you know ![]()
Only thing is, I know the nylon Gen 8 motorcages are not a direct fit to Singularity shells… the old clear acrylic ones are. Ask me how I know this… ![]()
Anyone got one of the older clear Gen 8 motor cages kicking around they don’t want? Happy to pay postage. ![]()
I always found the nylon ones tight but they fit… the clear ones did seem to fit easier.
I’ll have a look through my stuff and see what I can find.
The only couple of old clear Polycarbonate casings I have were butchered to fit larger motors that had no place ever being fitted to a Gen8! ![]()
The standard Nylon cages can be fettled to work on the Singularity Gearboxes… but that’s just more work and mucking around if not needed by fitting a clear case from the beginning. ![]()
I’ll have a dig around, but I already know that most of those old polycarbonate parts got sent to Gelblaster heaven where they belonged! ![]()
T piece question.
I’m going to put in a new tpiece, as the old one has a crappy seal / loose barrel.
I tried a fit of the barrel, in the new t piece.
It doesn’t wanna go in.
Looking closely, the new tpiece has a different internal lining material.
Do you need to “boil the barrel in.?”
I.e. heat it soften in, then it’ll push in and harden around it.?
Do you then apply a bit of araldite around the outside, to complete it?
I seem to remember talk of that…
I’ve never heard of having to heat up a t piece to soften it up for fitment. ![]()
If a barrel’s too tight to fit I usually measure everything up then either carefully run a 9.5mm drill into the t piece or reduce the OD of the barrel at the grooved end.
I was able to reuse the old tpiece anyway.
Now araldited in.
I might try the hot water thing, anyway just to satisfy my curiosity…
The hot water trick usually works on plastic barrel removal because the clear barrel’s made of different plastic to the ABS plastic used on the t piece and softens more easily with heat. Why you can stretch it out of the t piece and break the glue bond. ![]()
Think you’ll find heating the t piece up in boiling water won’t soften it much, although leaving it in long enough will definitely screw it up. Ask me how I know. ![]()
But do the science, by all means. ![]()
Well 10 second quarters will do that ![]()
Think you are getting confused to soften the glue works not to expand things.
Had to do it the other day not blaster but work stuff
