Ahhh…so that’s where the gearboxes are…
@Friendly_Fire , grab a gearbox, throw it into the transplanted uzi mp9 shell, and you have a working mp-9…

Yeah, unfortunately not really an option…
I used most of the LeHui trigger mech to make up the Uzi unit, and I’m pretty sure they’d be in the unobtainium bucket.
But that’s okay… the shell’s on the wall and with the trigger glued in it looks just fine as a display piece. also wouldn’t be a bad base blaster for a sci-fi build… I’m planning on getting into those a bit.
Ya never know, I may just spring for one of these down the track… it’s a cool little SMG. Keen to see your Tec-9s when they arrive too.
Yea i got the tappet from zhenduo! Also ik for sure it isnt the mag. Like i said i got a drum mag either way.
Hey my new mag came and it still isnt shooting. Its going into the shooting atra but when it comes to the pushing part where it pushes the gel beads out it doesnt go into that area
I think you’re decribing a broken tappet spring?
Does.the rubber nozzle move back and forth in the t piece when it cycles?
I opened the gel blaster up and nothing was broken. The rubber pusher does move back and forth, its just that the beads arent rotating into the pushing area. Is it ok if i send a video when im available?
A couple of ways to check the basic operation…
With the mag out hold your finger over the end of the barrel and pull the trigger. You should feel air on cycling, if you do you’ve got compression. If you don’t you may have a barrel jam or possibly a broken or non-existent o ring, problem with the piston head, etc.
Check to see the nozzle is moving back and forth and going back far enough to allow a gel into the t piece.
Try holding the blaster upside down and loading a gel into the t piece by hand with the mag out. Pull the trigger, it should shoot that one gel out of the barrel on cycling.
Use a 9v battery and a few lengths of wire touched to the mag terminals to make sure your mag motor’s feeding gels up the feed tube. Swap wires on the terminals to make sure the polarity is right and the feed wheel’s spinning in the right direction.
If all that checks out okay your blaster should work. The only other thing to consider is your gel size… if they’re too large they may jam up the barrel and t piece so try different batches of gels to rule this out.
If your blaster’s cycling normally a video probably won’t be of much use diagnosing whatever the problem may be, but it certainly couldn’t hurt.
@BME With me, sitting around looking at an empty MP9 shell is like a pisshead staring at an empty beer bottle.
So you know I just had to pick up an MP9 that works while I was up the road and so close to Oz Gel & Tactical.
Nice little bit of SMG/PDW kit and goes hard on 11.1v lipos.
Yea, me too.
I think that’s why I got the bug to pull the wallet trigger today.
The devil finds work, for idle hands…
More UZI, less spendy.!!!
MP9 = Expenditure of Money
UZI = Expenditure of Kilojoules
First one’s just a little easier for me to pull off at this juncture
I don’t expend a lot of kilojoules, something in short supply atm, opening my wallet.
The UZI’s getting some love tomorrow. I have to schedule my work for the mornings these days… arvees are a wright off.
of course, im just taking the piss…!!
Glad your happy with the MP-9, they are a good little thang…
What type of suppressor…?
Bunning’s Special suppressor, matey.
Made it ages ago for something else, turned out to be a perfect friction fit inside the MP9 outer barrel. Win!
what did you use, on the inner front of the supp??
Garden isle, popup sprinkler
It’s just an end cap from an EM Cannon build I did a while back and ended up dismantling.
Although I have been know to wander the sprinkler aisle at Bunnings with an eye to greeblies.
Anything to add a bit of interest.
Second iteration looks better… I love two minute mods.
How good’s your eye, @Maiphut ? Recognise what that collar is at the back?
“Sky rockets in flight…
Garden hose , delight…!”
Nope… not a garden hose.
Worse, it’s the cap from a Puff Dino gas bottle.
But it does look better being fat at the receiver end instead of skinny and anorexic.
