So I had this very interesting idea the other day that I could turn a ski pole into a gel blaster. Now the mag is easy enough, just a straight stacked thin mag. The hardest part is the hop up unit and rest of the firing mechanics. Does anyone have any suggestions for blasters that have small enough internals or just something I should do?

Well, considering the difficulty we had finding a gel blaster gearbox that fit into an UZI shell, I’d say you’ve set your sights on a very difficult task. 
It’s definitely not a project I’d take on.
But as I always say… no guts, no glory. 
Have a crack at it. Hope you can prove me wrong.

All I could think of is the P90 system, inline gearbox, inline mag feed etc.
Might be worth checking out 
I somehow don’t think you’re gonna get any kind of gearbox into one of those
Only thing I can think of is using like APS shells
Kind of like the old powerheads from the '70s for shark defence?
Might be easier to drill a hole at either end and use it like a pygmy blowgun.

Slightly thicker but My friend and I were almost able to do it with airsoft a year and half ago so I think I have a chance
