New qld laws?

Vendor said today that they can only bring in pistols, bolt actions and shotguns, including parts. No parts for anything that looks like a semi-auto

Vendor said to stock up on parts for AEGs

@BME You’re gonna need a bigger house if you start stockpiling part for your collection.:rofl:

You really can’t hate this government enough.

I hate to burst bubbles… but, I’m getting sick of saying it over and over again…
Pistols are NOT in the same group of only needing a B709a with bolt actions.
Semi automatic means automatic in application and classification.
I’m not debating it. Stating facts. Different.

There are several retailers with seized by abf loads of pistols waiting for home affairs approvals… That had b709a.

Anyway… nothing has changed, we will be waiting months to see if it is possible to import blasters resembling semi-automatic and automatic models.

They need approval from home affairs. To do so requires their database to have details of the models being applied for, and they have not updated the database for any potential applications that I am aware of, yet.

Actual firearms and accessories importers are also going through the same department, so the backlog is no doubt massive. Hopefully something happens here soon.

As I’ve said so many times now… still waiting to see if they can succeed, there are so many extra hoops to jump through and some don’t clearly exist like the safety test they have to pass… it doesn’t apply to gel blasters but they have to pass. Getting a straight answer and definition of that is the next hurdle.

It’s gonna be slow and long.

Support your favourite retailers in any way you can.
If you are going to panic buy like a toilet paper hoarding fuckwit circa covid shit… at least do it right and purchase innocent parts and small internals from China. Much of internal parts pose no issue.
Stock up without ruining it for everyone else at a discount. A win for you and the hobby and community.

Yes… I am trying to keep stock of parts we use in stock. If we can’t get more blasters now or in the future, we need to keep what we have going! That is my focus now more than the blasters I am leaving that to those that rely on it for making a living. Don’t want to eat into the market share and I do hope many survive this difficult time.

Summed the situation up nicely, Rok. :ok_hand:

The only solution is to kick Labor out at the next election but unfortunately they have too much runway to ruin more things before then. By the time they are gone we’ll have another million migrants of negligible value and billions more gone in Union and NDIS fraud. I’m not relinquishing my citizenship but I’ll likely be spending a lot of time in Japan and Poland soon. What a shame they both have thriving Airsoft communities, little to no migration for third world shit holes and a populace who appreciate that.

Funny you mention japan.

My mate is a marine pilot, in gladstone, and has just developed some health issues.

His family (son just graduated as a doctor) love snowboarding, and they bought a pension, near the ski fields , in japan.

About $450 k, got them an (older) 8 bedroom pension, with a hot spring.
They are planning to fix it up, rent it out, and use it themselves.

Couldn’t buy anything in OZ for that… and a potential semi retirement / lifestyle gig.

Japan is extremely safe, respectful courteous people, no problem walking the streets at night.

Food is cheap. A meal out, is about $20 a head.

Ski fields leave NZ for dead…head west, and your in siberia…massive powder.
More people are travelling to japan now , for skiing, than NZ.

Language isn’t that big of a barrier.

Airsoft is another bonus.
This country is well on its way to the dog house…

Used to be one of the best countries in the world to live in…
now its backsliding into a 3rd world shitshow…

Thats nearly impossible for an average person to get ahead in.

overseen by nanny overlords.

Even NSW Pol have a shipment of Glocks that were approved, got cancelled and are now in paperwar limbo

It ultimately has nothing to do with it.

Problem - The government manufacturers a crisis.

Reaction - Provokes a major public knee-jerk reaction, often looking to the government for the ā€˜solution’.

Solution - Government rolls out major reforms as the perceived solution.

To the sorry for the mistake

What about magazines? B709a’s required or?

Cuz that’s some :ox: :poop: if that’s the case

Mags should be ok…

but check first.
It used to be b709’s were issued for full blasters only…but now gearboxes are covered.

A mag should be an ā€œindividual partā€ā€¦ as long as its 2 or 3…not commercial quantities.

If your really worried, send QLD police an email, as then you will get a response, and have some legal fallback.

I was about to mention that. Shows how fubar the no system they have is.

Qld Licensing has been reminding vendors that they need a B709 for any parts and even for gels

Phor-phux-ache

Already ordered the mags…

Be too late to apply for a b709a, would take too long to process, Goddarn it :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Is my pump action bullpup p90 legal?

As a P90 afficionado, gotta say…

Why?? :person_shrugging:

It’s like an F2000 got drunk, shoved a Barrett mag up it’s arse and got spit-roasted by a Tar-21 and a FABARM STF12 shotgun.

Wait so you can still get gel blasters from overseas with a license
