Yet, you can import a deactivated, real steel, Uzi / Sten / whatever in QLD…
Or a denix replica LMG.
Grrr…!!!

Ah well… that’s that then. ![]()
Better start stocking up on these…
Looks like we need to be thankful for what we’ve got… and let’s face it, Beemer… there’s not much that can be imported that you haven’t already got in your collection.
When it all goes south, you can open up your house as a gel blaster museum. ![]()
Well shit…
Stock up or give up is a choice many people will be making
Isn’t that just what changed when they panic pushed the new federal laws? Haven’t seen anything regarding updates on state laws, and considering QLDs stance on them being a toy I don’t see them changing the state laws to align with federal like that.
Wait that means no more relaistic damb
Lokey wanna protest about this ![]()
It means anything that resembles a real weapon can’t be imported anymore… so 99% of what we’re used to buying won’t be available once existing stock’s gone. ![]()
Sci-fi based should be okay.
We knew this when the new laws came in but this is the first time gel blasters have been mentioned specifically.
“t means anything that resembles a real weapon can’t be imported anymore… so 99% of what we’re used to buying won’t be available once existing stock’s gone.”
I think the new import laws relate to ‘full auto-capable looking’ stuff - AK platforms, AR/M4/M16 platforms, assault rifles in general, sub-machine guns, machine guns … unless you’re in the movie/TV industry etc.
I don’t think the ‘old school’ stuff is in scope.
I fail to see how banning realistic/real steal replica gel blasters being imported will stop ANY real steel crimes resulting in people being shot/killed by real guns.
F🤬kin retarded
Again it relates to people using replica weapons irresponsibly (pointing at cops etc.) and receiving a ‘fatal outcome’. One naughty kid in the class and everyone is punished.
These new laws didn’t come from a kid pointing a gel blaster at police, it came from the Bondi incident…
Yep… sure did. ![]()
Sneaky federal government tactics to circumvent state authority on an issue… if you haven’t got the balls to ban the item, ban the import of new items then sit back and watch the hobby wither and die on the vine. ![]()
Yup…
QLD : you know what, we’re fine with them, they’re just toys. No real problems with misuse / abuse. Despite literally millions being sold and in circulation…only a couple of idiot events per year. Nothing to see here…
FEDS: WE DONT LIKE IT.
We don’t care about states governing themselves.
WE WANT TO STOP THEM, BECAUSE WE DONT LIKE IT.
Lets get all these documents ready, next real gun emergency, we’ll sweep these changes through.
So, here we are…

It occurred to me, i didn’t have a hatchet.
So, i ordered a RE knock off hatchet, from ALI Express.
I’m not kidding when i say this thing is razor sharp, it shaves hair off.
Around $70… All legal, no import requirements at all.
Yet, we need a B709 to import a nylon serialised gel gearbox…
Go figure…
Parts availability in the future, is what is required to keep this hobby alive.
Following my recent conversation with QLD police, they did state that small individual parts would be allowed.
I.e pistons, springs, gear sets, orings etc. These parts are too small to be serialised.
Gearboxes allowed, but require serialisation.
At least thats something…
It may well end up stores keep small numbers of common parts , flowing in…
And individuals may have to chase down more individualised parts yourself.
The issue is as with firearms - because only a minority of people are interested in them, only a minority are going to be affected by banning them …
Yes, that’s true.
Most people, in the general population, wouldn’t care less.
Still, it represents an erosion of our rights.
They banned them in WA, based upon total lies.
( they can be converted to fire live ammunition!!).
