Non-magnifying Tele Scopes

Do they even make them? :man_shrugging:

I’m keen to replace the janky plastic scope on my M24 with something a little more solid, but anything truly telescopic is not just unecessary on a gel blaster, it’s a pain in the arse.

I’ve had an LPVO scope on it that’s 1.5 - 5x20, which is useable at the bottom end of magnification, but it just doesn’t give the aesthetic I’m looking for with this Senyu.

Any ideas for a metal scope that looks right but is low powered enough to actually be practical at gel ball range? Something that won’t fall apart if I sneeze on it too hard like the current shocker that’s on this sniper?

Cheap air rifle scopes might be worth a look. What’s the budget?

I reckon to get the correct look you’ll be chasing a 42mm objective

If you want zero mag there is no option. The errm chinese mag is really fky for the eyes but you can get 1x which is ok LPVO style. But depends on your budget as Jug said.

I could give ya a Tasco right now that might fit the bill. Variable 1-6x. Don’t really have any use for it any more and has used rubberised coating they put on it. Dunno :person_shrugging: Glass is good Japanese glass. But I dunno might be more than your looking for and been used on RS. :+1:

Cheapest one I can find tonight but the mag power is too high

I had a cheap 4x32 scope that I just never like and the glass wass loose when I bought it, yes it was dirt cheap!

I have considered hacking it up and putting a aimpoint T1 knock off red dot inside it the tube… cut and shut style of work.

Be easier than fitting a gearbox in a cap gun Uzi right?

these are over powered for your requirements but is this the look you’re going for? the more traditional style scope?

or something a little more new age looking

Got a few of the BUSHNELL 3-9X40 all Alloy Scopes and the magnification isn’t too insane and are as solid as a rock, mainly have them because I’m severely short sighted and were the only way I could see anything more than 10 metres away from me!

Got a little battery compartment for a backlit reticle in various colours, but never actually tried it out, and decent quality tuned MOE adjustments as well… not that that’s needed on a Gelbaster!

Also…why am I digging the Bass and old PEAVEY Amp more than that Blaster.:joy:

Peavey amps really do it for me…
One thing I will never sell! Picked it up for a good deal at the time too.

Had a local amp legend recondition the insides, retube and bias the power tubes to be a bit warmer.
Rarely use it when I do so does the neighbourhood!

Inside it is a 5150, made only a month after the copyright from EVH expired. Only thing that is actually 6505 is the front plate, though they are in essence the same amp.

What you can see in the background in that M24 photo is a Peavey Studio Pro 112… converted to a cab.

I’d only had the thing a week and the bastard mud daubers got into it and built nests in the input jack and on the circuit board. Plugged it in to use it and … pooof, the magic smoke made an appearance  now I run blind plugs everywhere but with a half back you’re pushing shit uphill to keep the skuzzy daubers at bay. :joy:

I run it with a Joyo Bantamp hybrid head and it’s my home practice rig, 20W and through that Blue Marvel driver doesn’t sound half bad. Plenty loud. :+1:

Now who’s thread drifting…

See I started a thing :+1:

Those Mud Daubers are the bane of the Mechanics Industry too!

Get into every tiny hole cementing shit up. :rage:

Blew up the original speaker in my first PEAVEY Bass Amp back in the days before internet/mobile phones and took ages to eventually find the details of an old local English bloke who repaired old Valve Radios/TV’s etc.

He reckoned the original USA speakers were crap and ordered me “something special” from the UK.

Took months on a leaky steamboat to finally arrive and even had to drive to the Fremantle Wharf to pick it up!

Anyrate, got it all back together and he made that thing CRANK! :metal:

That’s 45 years ago, and I’ve since passed it onto my Daughter and it’s still rocking out hard!

Even though she’s surrounded by bigger better quality expensive gear at her work in the rehearsal/recording studio in Freo, she still drags it out and just loves the sound it puts out. :hugs:

She’s also thinking about putting a Scope on it, just to keep @Maiphut happy. :joy:

Seeing as I was tagged, you want trouble you got it.

Happy is the best :people_hugging: hope all is well or I dunno. Jam. RHCP rock on :v:
