One handed quick release grenade pouch

From an ergonomics point of view, I wonder if the clamp sitting horizontally on your belt would make the grenade easier to grab? As your hand goes to your belt its naturally positioned in such a way to grab the grenade “sideways”

As its pulled out of the clamp, whatever is used to retain the linchpin could sit (or hang) on the underside of the clamp and would simply fall out of the way when the grenade is er…plucked

Changed the clamp position so the nade can sit parallel so you can tie the pin to the vest so you could just pull it straight out and the pin would get yanked out in the process, I designed it to screw onto a molle plate so the orientation can be adjusted to suit

Does feel a little looser compared to the first one but giving it a shake it didn’t come out, will need to test on an actual kit still.

Ooo that’s the goods. Better patent that

He’s not kidding… you should.

I guess I could post it on like cults or something
But I’m not really one to monetize something so small.

I’d love to buy a couple to test once you’re happy with the design. My son and I will field test the heck out of them

Did you have a printer?

I don’t unfortunately

No worries, I’ll let you know when I’m satisfied with them.

That would be much appreciated :metal:

What kind of rig/setup do you use, did you say you would wear it on your belt or something? Just so I can test them in the same way.

Yep, looped through a standard belt on my RHS.

Can you give me the dimensions for a loop, or did you have a mount already?

No mount sorry, it currently sits inside a pouch that my belt loops through. The pin is secured inside the pouch.

Belt is 40mm in width, width of the loops is about 46mm. Couple of pics for better reference

Still needs some tweaking for the mount, trying a simple slot and see how that goes.

How’s the retention when it’s given a good shake?

Belt loop looks good

Pretty good, of all the times I’ve given it a good shaking it’s only come out once.

Will need adjust the belt loop, tried it on one of mine and wouldn’t fit, not satisfied with the retention screw either.

Nice work.

Some of your FPS YouTube videos bring back memories…

Ha yeah, good ol days of games when everything wasn’t otherworldly and flashy particle effects.

Just an update, altered the clamp slightly and it feels a lot more rigid whilst still being yankable.

Adjusted the belt mount, didn’t due to that metal cover on the end to stop the material from fraying, also adjusted the positioning lugs to bit a bit more fixed, once it’s aligned how you want you just tighten it, maybe a bit of thread lock on the screw, but you only need to loosen it slightly to adjust it afterwards.
