One handed quick release grenade pouch

V2 arrived in the mail today, ready for the weekends field test

Unsure how helpful it is, but I found a can of plastic primer in the back of the paint shelf.

We’re out of black so green or grey for the V2 test units

Had a slow day on the field yesterday so couldn’t give V2 a proper run but I can confirm that it holds onto the nade more effectively than V1

To be continued…

All I had left was Luftwaffe Green and Grey :grinning:

Have you been able to get to a game to field test these yet?

Not yet unfortunately but the next day out will be either this weekend or next.

Will update the thread as soon as I do :+1:

Been looking for something just like this! I am so glad that there are people working on this sort of thing… especially since it’s the exact same grenade i use. I’ll be following along your journey intently and hoping for a buy-able version eventually!

It’s a good thing, very grateful to DC.

i still plan to modify the grenade so that I don’t need the pin in place. Just haven’t got there yet :+1:

Once we get the design finalised I’ll most likely post the files to somewhere like Cults3D or something could also print and post if necessary like we’ve been doing.

could you post the link to the site here when you do upload it please?

We’ve consulted the lab rats, twisted the dials, and now that the smoke has cleared, the verdict on V2 is in.

No change on the quick ā€œdeployabilityā€ front — it’s every bit as slick as V1. You can snap it out of the holder in a heartbeat and it’s ready to go. I even managed a few snappy grenade kills today that wouldn’t have been possible if I’d had to dig it out of a pouch, pull the pin, and then throw. From that point of view, it’s fantastic.

Now V1 had a nasty habit of falling out and killing the operator so DC was good enough to tighten up the grip in V2 and I’m happy to say it held in place all day.

Some feedback on V3 if Chapo is happy to continue with the trial :slightly_smiling_face:

The belt loop on two of them started to warp as shown below, did not effect performance in any way.

The plate at the bottom of the holder is starting to bend downwards, giving the grenade a bit of a rattle while being held. This has occurred on two of the three that we’ve tested, the unused holder doesn’t have that warp so its definitely gameplay related. Hopefully the pics show what I mean. I also feel that slightly more of a bowl at the bottom of the holder would be of benefit, a bit like cupping the (gel) balls if you will

All in all a fantastic bit of kit to test out

Thanks for the feedback, I’m happy to continue with a V3 if you’re a willing test subject.

I had been staring at the one on my desk looking at the belt loop wondering why I didn’t make it a solid piece, thought I had but obviously not, that can be easily beefed up.

I’ll try redesigning the base a bit and making it a bit thicker to prevent warping. I was trying to make it as slim as possible which is why I’ve been using a platform style, I might try a fork style similar to the top but not a clamp, so more like a U shape that the base is more cradled rather than sitting on top

Again all valuable feedback :+1:
