Dangerously browsing x-force’s site last night and looked into the smg catagory, bad idea as i saw the price of the bf v4 p90 and started to ponder getting one because of the prise and the ease of stacking a bunch of extra mags in and a way to carry them (buy or 3d print).
I had a V3 P90, and it went well, very reliable. Had a return spring break, so changed to a stainless one cut down from jin ming aftermarket as the P90 return spring is very short.
I did change to an m90 spring, green o-ring, and 80% stainless cylinder and of course ran an 11v. Was very consistent 300fps, and shot well even with no hop up.
I even wired up a mag prime switch but it really didnt need it.
The only things I did not like about the v3 p90 was there was very little space for a decent battery mainly due to the awkward angle it had to be fed in and then close the door in the ejection port.
And the mags were a good for the first 60% then the follower would tilt and bind preventing good feeding of the last part, which they aren’t the largest mags, and are a bit awkward to load so even having four spare meant I felt like I spent more time topping off than shooting and enjoying them.
I have talked to a few owners of the V4, and I definitely want to pick one up. The V4 mags are apparently much better feeding all the way to the end, and they battery is now in the butt pad similar to airsoft versions so no issue with battery space and ease of fitting.
Would be very cool to take to CQB fields local to me that only allow semi auto, something the v3 did not have.
The beauty to is by the looks in photos the gearbox retains the same casing design as the previous versions, meaning a MK tactical P90 box could be fitted, then the only limit on what you want of it is limited by budget and the humble 460 motor.
Yea the mags with Zendhou, I grabbed a couple for Zehamish as everyone was getting scammed with their buy, CC, bank etc. I went through good as I have protections for business and got Z his couple of mags for his P90. They were sent labeled as ice cube trays, I thought I better have a look here.
As a former owner, I really recommend it. It has a ton of QoL features I don’t see often in other replicas (easy teardown, quick battery access with a cavernous storage space, and quick change spring system) so far and the build quality is excellent. V4 mags are super reliable assuming your gels are not too wet or oversized and will even work when tilted sideways seeing as it’s a spring mag.
The unit itself is pretty good out of box, with stock gears and everything else it can somehow use M120 springs (not recommended for obvious reasons). The only gripe I have with it is probably how the buttplate thing can sometimes fall off during play since there is no locking mechanism on it relying on friction. I had to buy new ones thanks to that but someone here provided a link in a previous thread I made about it.
For upgrades, I recommend the general upgrade package of spring, gears, and nozzle. Hopup is good if you want a sembelance of accuracy but not needed playing CQB in my opinon. If you can change the gears to 13:1 or short stroke the system to get that authentic PDW/SMG feel!
Doesn’t bother me, nothing went woosh over my head pal but I don’t know what NATO and a P90 blaster has anything to do with anything. Nobody else understood what you were rambling about.
That is why there is the shit pit. Bring your broadsword
Was asking if it was a good idea or not to buy one as a beginner with only a few games total played considering that i have a annoying issue with travel being public transport only right now so needing to buy stuff that can fit in a suitcase or duffle bag so i dont stand out like a sore thumb with giant rifle bags and possibly causing a major issue for others on the same bus or train.
It’s not that NATO were indecisive, they were dealing with body armour advancements which made some SMGs and PDWs redundant before they could be put into circulation.
Fair point. I get your need to be discreet. Some of the supplied cases that come with blasters are not exactly that… my SOCOM MK23 case has exactly what it is moulded into the case.
You’ll still get pinged by the rozzers if you get caught with a blaster hidden in a bag without a padlock on it though… supposed to be in a locked bag or case when you transport them in public.
Sounds dumb but even putting a padlock on the flimsy tags on a bag’s zipper is enough to be compliant.
The good thing about a P90 is it’ll fit into pretty much anything… a briefcase, laptop bag, sports bag or backpack. Just make sure it’s lockable and you’re golden.

Thats the plan tho its dumb because i can legit walk through town with my compound bow in its bag with 0 issue and 0 lock and that poses a even bigger risk then a toy gun (but i get the point of why blasters have to be locked up) tbh since its virtualy silent compaired to something like a aeg. We sadly have seen what happens when you give someone a bow and arrows with the right heads on them and the damage they can cause.
To be absolutely safe, something like a locked case inside another bag would be best. I wouldn’t want to get on PT with a gunbag, locked or otherwise… same goes for a pistol case. Worse case scenario someone thinks it’s real, dials 000… or someone knows it’s just a gel blaster and rolls you for it anyway. And the way arseholes are these days, any kind of secure case or bag is going to get their interest up.
Camera and laptop bags are no good… too tempting. Same for powertool cases.
Maybe stashing your blasters in a sports bag with some filthy socks and jocks hanging out of it is the best method. I know I wouldn’t be game to rumage through something like that.
