A LOT of dremeling, on the inside to make it fit.
Not without incident, too…a small pefereration, from the inside, out…
How the best way to fix that, any wood bog i can use to fill it.??
There is also some plumbers crack at the back…
I dont know if i can get it to close fully, maybe more dremeling reqd, but im a bit gun shy…
Maybe some brown selastic, down the back…

One that’s been missing from my wall… and I do like my old classics. 
HLF UMP45 Gen 8 box
Interesting to revisit old bangers like this… mould lines and flashing to clean up everywhere, excessive trigger pull, nylon construction but lightweight, no mag prime.
All things very easily sorted on a Gen 8 blaster, and so hard to pass up for $130… in typical Gen 8 style it hits around 250FPS out of the box. You just know with a few simple upgrades and a red ChiHai motor this thing’ll be quite a respectable unit.

I love an UMP! I think I burnt out two or three motors in mine… Still gets plenty of use and still on the same gears and singularity gearbox after 5 years.
I cant remember where I got it but there was a little 3d printed thingy with a switch and diode that gave mine mag prime, though it did ruin the battery space a little, but mine now runs a peq box for the battery.
So much love for this blaster! And they feel good and sturdy especially for their age.

Yeah I’m liking the platform… definitely going to replace the top pic rail with a metal one, the plastic’s just a little janky for an optic… and with that long feed tube in the mag it definitely needs mag priming. 
Down the track I might do a Cruise style prime switch… the switch and button from an old M90Two pistol I’ve got lying around and mounted on the right side of the lower receiver near the trigger.
If I’m feeling spicy I might even look into using the fake selector switch on the right side for it… kinda MP7 style, make the switch into a rocker style jobbie… I’d like to not compromise the battery slot, if anything I’d like it to be a tad longer… but all later on though. Other projects to do first.

the Mr whippy must’ve been eating the product when I was growing up, he was so big he had a custom seat on a swivel so he could get in and out of the truck, and he was assisted by a skinny blonde chick to serve because he couldn’t squeeze into the back

Solid simple little platforms with my favourite old Gen8 boxes, they are sturdy and reliable with plenty of performance upgrades to be found

Was going to ask you, I’m running a red ChiHai in another Gen 8 build, beatiful with the metal gears.
I’ve got a hankering to keep this one nylon geared, in your experience is a red ChHai the best choice of motor for it?
It’s not going to be souped up too much, probably a 1.18 unequal, o ring and nozzle… simple build.
Absolutely loved my Red ChiHai Motors, absolutely perfect for any Gen8 upgrade no matter what sized spring I chucked behind them
Plenty of torque balanced with the higher RPM output just seemed the perfect balance for pretty much any performance upgrades.
As long as you don’t throw a big spring behind the Nylon Gears, they should be able to handle the torque of the Red ChiHai Motors
