another scalp, in the war of attrition, of gel retailers…
Last I read they dissolved. One of the Owners was fulfilling some of the last orders of SLR’s out of his own pocket to get them processed and that’s it. That was in 2024. iirc. He was in 20 grand just doing that and some XM177 orders, which I believe he did on good faith. Poor fella. Then that had to be it for him. Sadly
I dare ya
9" be off in a second
Bugger it…why not…
It’s only $50 worth…
I’ll figure out something, for the font sight…
Put an iron on the pic rail and lop the leaf sight off too. Go full Arnie
Should be pretty easy to pull the front sight and barrel cap off, shorten the barrel then relocate the sight and cap, yeah?
There’s always a way
But then your rear sight and front sight would be about 5cm apart.
I reckon it looks better long… a bit more balanced.
ring ring… …
the barrel cap doesn’t sit on the outside of the barrel…
it sits, in a special circumferential groove, right at the very front of the barrel…
with one straight cut to length, you’d lose that…
unless you then did two cuts, and joined them…
Which wouldn’t be easy…
Fair enough, as i said last i knew of them they had some issues with their leasing and then vanished into the past.
Cutting and joining is very easy.
You cut the tube behind the front sight, chop off the length you want to remove, then use another bit of tube on the inside to join the cut off front section back onto the main barrel again. A ferrule, kind of like a fishing rod. you can even use a bit of the section you remove to make the ferrule.
Sure, the join line would be visible but it just looks like a barrel cap if you get it right… or you could bevel the join a bit, fill it with putty, sand back and paint if you want it to be invisible.
I’ve done it to a couple of M203 UGLs to shorten them and it works well.
It’s all good, there is more to it that I don’t know but the stayer on guy did his best to clean things up. Was more than just lease problem. He’s got a big debt now fullfilling orders. Feel bloody sorry for him as that is , just not good.
My purchases of parts in the past they were very good and had certain items I wanted. But unless somebody else knows more, that ones a goner I’m afraid.
One of these UZI’s, is shit hot…

Speaking of such things…
This one is pretty decent Kimber compact type sized and styled…
Maybe one for @exakel … and maybe even @Maiphut in SA.??
Being undersized, appearance laws wouldn’t count.?
And being a lighter, it doesn’t discharge anything…
Looks good. Unfortunately I just paid a $3000 dollar bill so the kitty is low for now.
Appearance laws don’t apply here. Unless they changed that recently.
Got plenty on my dinner plate to keep me occupied, still looks good.
A lighter looks like a farm tool, to me.
Essential tools of the trade.
Tax deductible, essential item…!!
It even has a torch.!
Not even kidding…!!
I already have gas torches to do burn offs. Mines 4ft long though
