yes it got its first workout today…
Long story short…trigger doesn’t work…!!
I wanted to test it at WAT when i got it, but was told the tech wasn’t there.
tried it at home today… it didnt fire.
Looks like the firing pin is too wide…only the very small centre of the cartridge needs to be pushed in… looks like the pin is too wide and hits the corner of the shell…
now… easy fix… file it down with a file …BUT…warranty.
Better to take it back to WAT, they can file it down and get it working…

this is something you would use on a larger property, and probably never allowed on a field…

There are different models…this one is a cheapy.
$60 worth…and bit light on details.
No safety, missing screws in the handle, sights not cut in, cylinder rotates, but doesn’t come out.
Still, for the price, better than nothing…
The trigger is fixed, as is the hammer.
Print level is pretty smooth, but i sanded 400 / 600 on the exposed surfaces…being careful its already glued…
I used tamiya gun metal.
I gave it a several light coats. i’ll let it dry , and hit it 2morrow with the dreaded smoke…no splattering…!!

Very much lives up to its name. Looks the goods.
They also make a “light gun metal”…
but that’s better used for loading gates etc. I used it on the feed gate, for the pulse rifle.
Give the popularity of this game, i reckon its a certainty that an Airsoft version will be released at some stage…

I gave it quite a few heavy coats of smoke.
This was deliberate…the game look is quite dark.
Maybe a bit too much so…but at $60 cheap enough to get another one, and just do it gunmetal only, for a more silvery look.
anyway, paint prep for the handle…
the grips had a few print lines on them.
i sanded out , as best i could, but was left with a few lines…
I hit the grips with Semi gloss black, and a semi gloss clear.
Final result.
not perfect, but better than the 3d print blank look.
The cylinder needs a bit of bracing, to stop it from flopping around, and align it better.
All in all, a good cheapy replica, from the RE verse…
Once again, just to give you an idea of ridonkulous size…
i used to think, the ‘Evil’ revolver was large…

I couldn’t live with the floppy cylinder. I’d have to glue that sucker up with 5 minute epoxy to stop it rattling around.

ive got a bit of blutac on it for now.
spaces the arm out, and aligns it better.
I’ll make up a small wedge, paint it and glue it.
Also… might do your trick of painting some fishing sinkers, and glueing them in the front of the cylinder.
no more empty cylinder.
I’ll just take it to BCF, for a trial fit…
