Hopefully in the next couple weeks they will have heaps of v2s. They are a 7.3mm barrel so something like the predator V2 would go well in it, I have both aug and predators… just haven’t had time to try them yet.
Also bought a spare gearbox and I’m gonna do things to it lol
I dunno… Consent for what I do with blasters is only obtained initially, but I always use lube
@shadow187 It depends. I have seen guys just change to an m100 and even an m110 which is pretty spicy! With no other work is a bit of a gamble though. The do 300-320fps depending on gels standard and have a long barrel, so an m110 will see 380-390fps. Too much but some people just have to go over the top. The JG V3 is reasonably robust though I have seen a few break the front off. M100 is probably the biggest I’d recommend.
They are not radiused, so that is something worth doing, and combined with an aoe pad definitely helps resist gearbox fracture.
I have already began modifying mine and have done this. Will also get 13:1 with m100 and I am planning to change to a t238 25k brushless motor so the battery lasts a long time. I’m also exploring the idea of shortening the front end and barrel with a little 3d printing but that’s a way off yet.
The JG blue end bell motor they normally have is a neo magnets motor and they are pretty good for a standard motor. If I could fit a decent sized battery in it or had heaps of smaller ones I wouldn’t bother changing motors as usually JG motor with 13:1 gears gets a snappy 24-25 rps.
I nice note is some sound good. The one I got sounds horrific. No motor adjustment helped it. And it is worse as your head is right next to the gearbox! I will sort it out though. The real joy is the gearbox is able to be removed with a couple of screws and a jiggle so that is very easy.
These sales and discounts have me crying in my Weetbix that these weren’t available when I was in the hobby
Something this quality cheaper than an old Gen8 would have been unthinkable back then!
And at this price for the love of my life blaster, I would have been buying their whole inventory of them😯
Mine just showed up today, with some extra parts, now I just gotta wait for my filament order and I’ll be printing up another ADAR kit.
Gonna try some new wood infused filament and if it’s anything like the other old spool I got I should be able to stain it with some decking oil or such, hopefully get a nice wood grain effect with the layer lines going, but that’s not gonna be till next week sometime.
and my partners getting me the well metal m4 cqb for Xmas, literally just signed for the package ten mins ago because she was on the phone
was going to get the young fella the gen 8 to go with his kar98 for Xmas but he barely touches the other blasters I got him. can’t get him off technology and with it getting hotter it’s even harder getting him out of the house, but I will have to figure something out before the sales over or they run out
At the price I am not surprised, I have had an AUG on my “haven’t got one” list for a long time, now have one!
I also picked up the AUG, with 4x mags and a spare gearbox. $225 for the lot was a smashing bargain, considering normal pricing would have cost $748! I told the wife I just saved us $520 haha, still got the usual “don’t you have enough blasters?” response to which she got the usual “but I did’t have one of them!” response!
What amuses me, I have ordered a T238 brushless motor for it. Combined with the SHS gears, spring, bushes and even spare gearbox and 4x spare mags, it is still cheaper than one at full price! Solid deal indeed and I also am glad I jumped at it.
The metal wells CQB is a good deal imo. Are they a good blaster? No… Ok, well, they are pretty good little performers for somewhere between a month and a year before they fracture the gearbox casing. But getting a metal reciever, metal CQB buttstock, metal handguard and outer barrel, metal flash hider and metal sights… look that is pretty good really for $120! Hell I challenge you to find a new metal receiver for under $120, you won’t. So yeah, damn good deal. If only I didn’t have a self imposed “No more M4s for me” law… lol
And lets be honest, hopefully it means Ausgel/M4A1 are clearing out for some new stock, cause they have been sleeping on everything for 3 years now.
Not a fan of the A3, removed the front rail and got a folding grip from M4A1 Nambour spares box. Had some other bits lying around and cannibalised my LH AUG. It is well on the way to being my Austyer F88SA1 replica. Just some OD green paint to go.
That’s not the one I had printed, the rail looks shorter on the back end so might be for a different variant, can’t imagine it would be that different between brands so I’m thinking it’s a different variant. The one I found was specified for the JG so whatever variant of AUG JG based it on.
Just had a quick look on thingyverse and couldn’t find the one I had used only the one you posted, didn’t think mine was that short but now I’m second guessing it🤔
Not sure if it has been done before or I am the only lunatic that thinks it needs doing.
I am not a 3D printing person so unsure of the best approach or even if it is possible. Any ideas from the brains trust?
On the real steel version it is solid CNC aluminium part of the upper receiver drilled and tapped to take NADs (Night Aiming Devices - Infrared laser) and other equipment.
