Sales and discount codes

The Hanke Thompson’s do well with minimal upgrades… a decent o ring and a spring is all you need. :+1:

Not sure if this belongs in here or not.
From an email I received today.

i saw that, as well…

i wonder what commission they charge.? (and any warranty for the buyer.?)

Commission is stated as 35%, so a pretty decent chunk, 1/3rd of the sale price.

Maybe a tactic to get more business through the door and a boost in tech work/parts as well :+1:

The games resale business approach before digital downloads, GaaS killed everything for this generation :+1:

I was looking to get a new JetSki, and trade my old one in.

Dealer said he didn’t want to do trades, he had too many 2nd hand skis, but would sell on consignment…

At 20% commission…

Stuff that…

For a ski worth about $14k, that’s nearly $3k commission…

No thanks, I’ll just keep my old one…(it’s not even that old).

It’s a nice thought, if you can’t be bothered with Reddit or discord sales etc.

For a moment I thought I was being targeted!
“Have you got too many blasters?”

Lol… no. I am comfortable with too many

35% commission is pretty ouch.

I guess they’re doing a fair bit to sell your gear though… photos, online listing, store display, etc. Not that much though.

I wonder if they’ll apply a minimum value? I can’t see them being happy getting $35 commission on the sale of a blaster worth a hunge. Unless they’re planning on inflating the prices of the second hand gear to increase their commission. :man_shrugging:

For mine, losing 35% of the sale price would put the whole deal firmly in the “not worth it” category. Nothing against Azreal’s but I’d rather sell it off cheap to a mate or donate it to a kid than line the pockets of a business that’s making a shit ton of profit out of the hobby already.

If you had a blaster, that cost $600 new…

A reasonable price would be , say, $300.

100 commission, 200 in your pocket…. Barely worth it, for me…

Better to give away / donate to a child or charity…

But, some may be desperate for any dollar they can get…

That’s it you got to work out what it’s worth to you.

I have a 21yo bike, over the years probly spent near 20k on it incl purchase new. Sell it now barely get 2 or 3. Not worth it, just keep it as I have the space. Parts are so so and body not really handling the rawness of it. It’s already Vintage, maybe be retirement fund in another 20 yrs

The second hand market has had the arse fall out of it in the last year. I have a few blasters I could happily sell, but cbf with the process and won’t get what I think they are actually worth. So I am happy to just keep collecting!

We will inspect and test every blaster to ensure it is functioning and be free from issues… if it has issues we will repair and service it at cost to you… we cannot sell gel blasters with issues.

Now that is fair for Azraels and the purchaser. And I get it. You don’t want to sell something with your reputation on the line from and unknown second hand seller. It will be interesting to see some repair bills on blasters that are being sold on this method. I’d guess that often the seller is going to get even less than what they hoped due to a repair bill before sale, as so many used blasters have issues!

I know it seems like I am dumping on them, I am not. It is for the most part a good idea with a clear path of covering themselves; something you have to do in business. You also have to make money. The seller is going to get less than they want, but also less hassle. There is always a price of admission for that!

does anyone know if you can get glow/tracer magazines for the wells metal m4 cqb?

or would I be better off looking for a screw on barrel tracer?

I was using one of my LDT Glow Mags in one of these many years ago…so I would assume that they would definitely fit

Excuse the swearing, the dog barking and me cussing the hell out of the WELL’s… but shows that the LDT Glow Mags did work… when the WELL’s decided it wanted to work :astonished::roll_eyes::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

As someone who is buying soon i would go the barrel ones, atleast then you can take them from blaster to blaster vs locking to one system and as doc bob showed, they can be a pita to get working with each blaster.

Well has their own magazines and I have not seen a glow mag available for them.
If you convert it to an LDX, or similar gearbox that takes gen8/LDT style mag pattern then you could use LDT glow mags. Some filing of the mag well will be needed to fit them, not as much as you would expect but it does take some time.

Best option is to grab something from Acetech or T238 that mounts to the end of the barrel. As @saph says, then you can swap it from blaster to blaster. Not every blaster and or mag likes glow gels, so least this way you can swap between not just your gen8 mag pattern M4s to see what works for them. They also offer the best glow brightness over the glow mags.

I was a lazy bastard and use a soldering iron with a needle tip to cut out mag latch sections then clean up with a nail file

Had a few different barrel Tracer units that work really well, but found the glow mags so simple as once modified, any J8 mag compatible M4/CQB Blaster became an instant glow pew pew by simply inserting a magazine :+1:

This was also because back in those days, threaded barrels on Blasters were pretty much non existent, which has now become mostly standard on all the new blasters, which allows for some awesome light and smoke emitting tracer units :raised_hands:

No not straight off the shelf.

At that price get it and worry about that later. There is muzzle options or just torch them before you load and does same thing for few minutes.

I just wish someone would come up with an ultra hard glow gel. :man_shrugging:

Ya do get a bit sick of glowing confetti coming out of the barrel of your 300+FPS blaster.

Looks like someone bagged a Predator sometimes… glowing carnage everywhere.

it is a bit odd they haven’t been made :flushed:
