From what I’ve heard it has something to do with the phosphor or whatever it was that glows not playing well with the polymer they use for the actual gel so they can’t get it hard and glowing ( there’s a joke in there somewhere).
if it bleeds… we can kill it…
Apart from bit of jamming and stickiness never had too much trouble. Don’t have anything over 320fps though.
I actually got some great results with the War Interest glow gels in stock to 280/300fps Blasters…so much that I ran them through the day because they worked so much better in standard Blasters than the cheaper gels
Definitely have to be fresh grown, towelled off and run through stock 7.5mm barrels though, as don’t store well at all, and excess moisture made them pretty sticky through the barrels
Yea used the same WI glows, they are sort of tactile. They ran like a champ through the 20" 7.3mm ID AR build I did only occasionally sticking up in the WI glow mags that a shake would sort out. Was pretty fun in night games until that got the Kybosh.
Night games and WI Glow Gels were the very best times I ever had in the Gelbaster hobby
Day games were awesome, but night games were a whole new level of fun and excitement!
Much more comfortable temperature wise, got to run our tactical torches, laser level gels flying everywhere, players on each team wearing red/green glow sticks for identification… they were an absolute blast that I enjoyed every minute of, probably more than one should!
Oh yea my mate was well impressed when he arrived, he getting a few things out his Prado and I hosed him. Car too. Hilarious… oops
dammit the AusGel 70% off sale ended n I still had stuff in my cart I was waiting to buy
One tip I learned about gel ball in general years ago:
If you can buy it and want it, buy it now.
…Because it may not be available later, or ever again.
This goes ever harder if a sale is involved!
The industry changes products all the time, and very frequently does not restock items ever.
I know, we don’t always have the disposable income for the things at the time and that is just life in general.
And is this the right time to point to my boxes of parts I may never use?
They appear to have restocked the wells metal cqb m4… back to full price tho. I did notice it sold out during the sale.
the JG aug’s were one they must’ve ordered/reordered recently because they weren’t on there when I started my gel ball journey this year, I never saw them on their site I mean.
with the wells metal cqb m4’s back in stock, surely that’s a sign they’re still importing blasters, hopefully some different models start popping up.
but yeah definitely pays to jump in at the start of a sale for sure
Great advice, and is exactly what I used to do with blasters and parts, even ordering stuff not required at the time, but looking at what might be needed in the future to keep a Gelbaster up and running for many years to come.
This is why I have so many boxes of spare stuff, because at the time was not only needing stuff for customers builds, but also having enough gear for the 70 odd different Blasters I had personally.
Never really thought about the fact that I would have to get rid of all those blasters and that all the associated parts/accessories would become largly useless to me
Many things that I ordered in bulk would be out of stock after I ordered, then never available again… but luckily I ordered bulk, so enough to get jobs done further into the future.
As the Blasters got older, the available spare parts would disappear from suppliers and be replaced with more modern/updated stock… except for the Gen8’s obviously
Many people chasing the old classic Blasters, but they have become very hard to find, along with their spares and accessories.
I’d say they didn’t want to sell them all cheap, and saved some by just saying they were out of stock.
Not the first retailer to pull that trick.
If they did actually restock, there wouldn’t be more variants in stock.
yeah you’d definitely be accurate with that statement, makes sense as there as not other variants available, it’s the last blaster they have available besides the gel storm non realistic gel blasters unfortunately.
hopefully new stock of different blasters to come soon
Im surprised they are even operating still after shuttering basicly all their stores and all their stock.
Ausgel are at it again, 70% off everything (except Ultra Elite V2)
Tac Edge have a bit of a sale too.
Vipertac is having a sale as well…
discounts on green gas mags etc, and some john wick pistols caught my eye.
Also, crowd favoutite…DB beretta for $200…!!
You too, can sand and polish your way to a shiny silver inner barrel, and RE grip it up…!!
Just dont forget the 5 min epoxy, for the obligatory “politician mag”…
They all just dribble, and leak a whole lotta hot air…!!
Not a bad deal, for the person who was looking for a G19…
I’m holding out for the 100% off sale
My wallet has holes in it from black friday.
Bought couple grand of floor boards, and $130 box of screws to tie it in. Phones going on way home from the store owner lady, oh I forgot to charge you for the screws. I said it’s Black Friday special haha Paid her for it within 12hrs She had a giggle
Just letting y’all know, Tactical Edge currently has the AAP-01 on 50% sale. It’s currently $213. I highly recommend it for being extremely bloody good, though be prepared to replace the hammer. Bear in mind, these things will take all of the kits people have designed for the airsoft version.
What type of kits are you talking about.?
Aesthetic kits.?
