STG44 and MP40

If there’s one thing we can say with 100% confidence about these hunks of metal and plastic, it’s that dropping battery voltage doesn’t impact on gel velocity.

If it did, we’d see a drop in the power of our blasters towards the end of the battery during gameplay. They just slow down is all.

Mine runs at a consistent 320-330 fps using xforce pinkies…

They are a pretty good, go to gel, for most blasters…

They tend to feed pretty well through most blasters, even the fussier ones…
Not always optimum fps, but consistent feeding.

Unless it’s a sten…!!

I’ll have to grab some of the xforce pinkies n see how they go, I have some AusGel super pinks I could try tomorrow to see how they go until I get the xforce ones.

I don’t think they did any servicing, screws don’t look like they’ve been taken out, I would say they’ve just tested what fps they got, but if they had a complaint of low inconsistent fps they probably put it down to user error and left it at that

surely I should be able to get more than a single magazine n keep getting around 330fps several mags later out of a full charge

I’d rip it apart and see what’s up, it’s gotta be something piston head nozzle maybe. But I get your not confident in that.

But then again if you are willing to have a look seeing as the shop failed, post pics etc I guarantee some of us will try help you out might spot something wrong.

Send the thing back sideways up their clackerhole otherwise. Unacceptable.

I’ll let the shop know, do a few more tests with some more gels that should work, and go from there.

It’s really becoming a pain in this ass, couple that with a different vendor not bothering to send my latest order n I’m pretty fkn pissed off with blasters atm

This is where, shopping at a quality retailer, is worth it…

Xforce / Tac Edge…if you buy from them, they fix the issues…no problems.

Dunno where you live, but if you have a reputable vendor nearby, its worthwhile buying from them, in the flesh.

Particularly GBB’s, you can test them in store, get any leaks sorted before you walk out, and have piece of mind.

Buying sales / bargains from taccies etc, especially via mail, is a little bit more of a risk…you cant check it out before you walk out of the store.

In store, you can always test it there to your satisfaction, before you leave…
No arguements, about whose touched what…

yeah I said to myself after the m97 muck around with tac to never again opt for shipping… but my car is due for service so was trying to not go over the km interval to avoid voiding the warranty.

seen them today about it, first they said it was delivered, uh no… then they said it was with the courier, then they said it just went to the courier, then the courier said it hasn’t been received yet, then they said it’s sitting in their warehouse, then they said it’s been at their warehouse since Tuesday last week

apparently neither know exactly where it is, tracking still says ready for processing, like FFS, get your shit together

then tac has the audacity to send an email ad for the Thompson… like for real c#@t :rage:
how about you give me the one I ordered :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

that’s just a dog act

Tac as in Tac Edge or Tac Toys?

Either one, sounds like you’re getting the run around. :man_shrugging:

TT didn’t want to put them right out thet on front street cuz I still haven’t got my order n it’s not even for me it’s for my uncle so extra annoying…

I’ve only bought a hop-up an gels from TE so far

Welcome to my life

I get what you say. Auspost do a real good job in my experience. It’s the other courier companies they sub out to like Aramex, Startrack etc, they are shocking. It’s when Auspost get overloaded and they have to sub it out. Then there is problems. I’ve never had luck with both. Miscommunication, sent to the other side of Australia, real fun  But anything direct by auspost has been good and on time.

Also with your local shops for blasters, they do look after you. There was a lot more some years ago and they are struggling these days to pay the damn rent. Why a lot have closed down. But of course depends if you have any near you. I have 1 and that is 220klm’s away hence I do my own service basics. I have no other choice. :person_shrugging:

Well fuck tactoys then they’ve always been shit.

hey guys

so was inspecting my MP40 today and noticed this, looks like a rubber perished, split, not sure if it’s supposed to be like that but definitely looks off

does this look normal? is there supposed to be only a half rubber there or should it be a complete one…

I assume that was one of the potential issues you said it could have from sitting in storage from no use til now that you guys mentioned it could’ve had from old age that should’ve been rectified when I returned it to sort it’s issues under warranty? yet were not

Hard to see from your photos, are you saying you can only see half an o ring in the nozzle?

That’ll be your huckleberry.

Time to open that box, remove the cylinder, tappet plate and nozzle and have a good look.

Sometimes that o ring can be damaged if it’s not lubricated on assembly and the assembler is ham fisted.

If that o ring gets cut by the spigot on the cylinder head, the segment that’s cut gets blown out the barrel and unless the nozzle comes off again what’s left will stay in the o ring groove and cock it at all sorts of weird angles, screwing up your airseal.

You may just have found the problem… if that’s the case. And yeah, would be a warranty claim because the only way it can happen is either in the factory or during a service where the box is opened up and the nozzle removed.

arrow A shows the rubber appearing in tact

arrow B shows where it looks split/separated/missing

Oh right that is definately a problem as could let your t piece move and not seal at extension giving your erratic fps.

I was looking more at the nozzle, hard to tell but could be the shadows. Looks not right.

Send it back. Unless you are game to have a go at it yourself.

Unbelievable.

After you returned it, for a service, and they missed that….

Inexcusable.

Oh I see what you mean now… :+1:

Yep… t piece is probably moving around.

Send it back. :ok_hand:
