I’ve had a good run with them. Grow for about 2 1/4 hours to 2 1/2 hours but water temp seems to be the difference for me there.
I am using a bottle of greens I grew for a game like 6 weeks ago and haven’t had an issue. They are a bit on the small side, found the oranges to be a little larger.
Tbh, I think I like the oranges more the more I test them. But greens have been good for the tighter barrel stuff.
That said, not had green or oranges jam yet, even with oranges in 7.3mm barrels.
He sells two types of milkies, one harder than the other, perhaps the softer of the two are worth a try? He’s currently out of stock but can sling you a bag if needed.
Apparently the oranges are supposed to be harder, in our blasters the greens and milkies have been more accurate.
I’m a huge fan of War Intetest red gels… found them to give higher than average FPS and last a long time stored.
Only downsides are :
Hard to find these days.
Hard to see in flight, especially in low light.
The second point could be taken as an upside though. They’re tricky to see so aiming adjustment on the fly’s harder, but your tango can’t see where they’re coming from either… great for stealth if your blaster’s sight accurate.
I have found the oranges to be similar to the greens in terms of hardness.
Both are not the hardest gel out, imo. But also, imo- being the hardest doesn’t concern me, long as they work in gas stuff they are hard enough. And both work in my gas stuff.
Size and not needing to sort or undergrow is my thing. And so far, I havent been sorting either green or oranges for months. And they don’t seem to dry out in open air as quick as other “ultra hard” gels.
His milky’s are decent too, not gas pistol ready hard, but harder, or rubberier than non ultra hard gels. Think ausgel white pearls, but almost no weird shapes and massive jellybean nonsense. Quite like them actually, but having one gel for everything is a better trait for me.
As a note, the bags are roughly half the size of the competing $10 ultra hard gel bags, so per litre of gel they aren’t much- if at all cheaper. But, I would prefer two smaller bags over one large one these days as I often grow less more often anyway!
