I’m purchasing a Seamaster Professional 300 in the next week or two. The aluminium bezel model, the No date.
Just something nice I can wear to work and not have to change watches after I finish, something I can still take to dinner.

I can’t bring myself to wear a special edition. I wear my watches with little regard for how they’re treated.
With my job,(Chef) they’re going to be abused. I’ve taken the colour off of the bezel on both of my seikos I wear to work.
Funny enough, my Apple Watch Ultra held up with the most abuse 
. There’s two scratches on the screen from someone’s diamond ring, other than that, it’s still looking pretty good.

I had that exact Casio on the left as a young squirt when I actually wore a watch. Now I go Roman and use sun dials. 
In HK we had a basket near the front door, filled with knock-offs. Just pick one each day.
Some were really good copies, some had rough edges and even had a classic Longines where the second hand would bend when it got warm and lock up the minute hand.
When we were working at Proton in Malaysia, had a deal with one of the sellers at the Petaling Street Markets,. Would take any visiting American consultants to them for their Rolexes. They would slip me a Breiting, TAG, etc at half the base retail price - which I knew because I heard them discussing the best price in Cantonese.
Switched to Casio world time in 1995 and wore them for next 25 years until couldn’t get them anymore. Have a icecream bucket with the old mechanisms as it was usually the band that failed first. Unfortunately the band was unique and it didnt fit generic replacement bands

Ok I’ll play. My last watch for my birthday 2007 a couple of years after I started farming. Worn it once or twice when I went out and that’s it.
Mmm same here General re photo quality, I bumped that up to 50M and it’s still shite. I dunno
