This will be a Very slow update thread for a project I’m working on. But o know there are a couple people here who would love and hate this idea.
I’ve had it for a while. But I’m going to be making a bullpup ak.
Base is a slr-ak (personal choice. I have one and is one of my favourite blasters). I have a line on one to use for this project.
It’ll have 16:1 gears and be working on a 7.4v battery. (11.1 it too much for the simulated blowback system it uses)
High torque motor (already have)
It’ll be using a jefftron mosfet (obtained from the states. Think easyfet but a 50amp limit instead of a 15).
I will need to design and print a shroud that works as both a buttstock and cover for the current/stock trigger and pistol grip for the motor.
I have an old Aug shell and I’m thinking about using that for the grip and trigger setup. But that could change and I might do something more custom. This will be mounted on the fishbone. The trigger will be wired electronically and the old mechanical setup will be staying as is but wired into the loop. I’ll be modifying the selector plate so the original ak fire select allows for safe and auto.
There will be no semi. I could probably do it. But seems more hassle than what I’ll use if for.
Image is an example. Not what it will look like.
I still have a few small aspects I need to work out. But my goal is for anyone that sees it to go wtf and then have it outperform most other blasters on the field
