Ok, all the piecesof the puzzle have fallen into place, and all is revealed…
Bit of a story, but here goes…
1: Obtained B709, for importing a M4 Spectre, from triggertoys.
2: Placed order, got tracking number.
3: Parcel “A” arrived. It was an empty box.
There was masking tape on it, but enough of a gap down the side, to get the contents out.
Initially, i thought i was scammed.
However, closer inspection revealed it had a weight ex HK, of 1.3 kgs.
That would have been at time of posting. So, i started to think someone along the postal route, had sticky fingers…
4: I emailed triggertoys and told him. I have photo’s , and a video of opening.
He agreed to send out another one, as per his policy. He wasn’t happy either, but honoured his word ( Full Points for that!!). Package “B” sent.
5: B709 was still valid. Package arrived at SYD, and withheld. Letter sent to me. I lodged my appeal, stating I had a valid B709 ( they should have known this), lived in QLD where its all legal, have a B709 history of importing gel blasters / sci-fi replicas etc, and was a responsible (-ish!! ) person.
6: Package “B” finally arrived today, with stickers saying it had been opened by ABF. Blaster, mag and battery included.
Whew…!!
Thanks for @TriggerToy.com for sending the replacement, i was unsure initially about what had happened, but now i have no doubt someone in the postal system, somewhere, liked what they saw, and helped themselves.
Also, the appeals was successful, as it should be for a QLDlander, and package sent with no further problems. No further letters, your parcel just turns up.
Useful info, for anyone in a similar situation in the future.
Though, we need to get imports allowed from china again, for that to happen…
Hope thats of interest, for anyone concerned…!!
