Hollywood prop makers don’t usually use anthing other than readily available materials. They don’t like to reinvent the wheel if they don’t have to.
I’ve often thought about making a few high end props and submitting them for consideration. Got all the gear to do it, just haven’t gotten off my arse yet. 
There’s a fairly active movie industry on the GC… you never know.
