The Shit Pit

Wasn’t that his son the company committee sacked because he reported the inadequacies of the design to authorities. That much hoopla, oh well gives something for the media to do.

I feel sorry for the young fella rich Dad dragged along, will never get to live life. The rest… fuck around and find out.

Well that’s the other problem. It isn’t or wasn’t. No rules or passed nothing they just went and did it. Good on em.

Was barely rated for 1800m max…… well short of the 4000m+ he was pushing it to, especially as it was never certified or engineered for that 1800m “guesstimate” to start with

hmm that’s the bit I saw this morning the CEO’s(who’s on board) son giving info to authorities about it’s capabilities then the companies committee turned around and sacked the son.
Whether that is true or not, fk knows I don’t trust any media these days.

Yes it’s true, happened a while ago and ended up going through the whole Court process chasing fines/compensation etc.
It’s only been bought back into the spotlight because of this incident.

Oh that’s simple.

It didn’t.

Like that’s not a joke, it genuinely was refused classification and certification.

International Waters don’t give a fuck though.

A reasonably good description of what the red flags are of this Vessel and the Owners blasē attitude :flushed:

God there’s so many good memes

Breaking news…woke up to…breaking news…

All dead…and it seems to have happened earlier than everyone thought…

I hope they popped quickly on the way down, and didnt feel a thing / didnt wait for hours…the tapping noises may have been something else…why did the dad take his kid with him…RIP.

Damn what a way to go hey. I had bets on all dead, I win again.

Anyway…something different to lift your spirits…!!

Yeah was awake most of the night and happened to catch the latest news.

Sad but good because it would have been instant and painless.

It was my opinion from the very start that it had imploded, purely through seeing the build “quality” and the owners arrogance.

RIP to them all.

Yeah, better to go by implosion than slow suffocation… would have been pretty much instantaneous at that pressure.

I feel for the families, particularly the young kid’s. Very sad.

Indeed. Apparently it was instant and they wouldn’t have even known. The young boy bit sad. Apparently it imploded less than two hours after launch then the bits sank the rest of way down.

You know, with the benefit , of a little bit of time…
My final thoughts, are this…

The titanic, and its sinking, was a tragedy, of around 100 years ago…
1500-ish people, lost their lives, on that day…

The sunken wreck, is an object of historical fascination…
But also , its a mass tomb.

I think, its best, to give the dead, and their final resting place, some respect.

Really, there is no need, to go down there, and gander, at a sunken wreck, and graveyard…

Its all been done / mapped / scanned before.

There is nothing to be gained, going down there, save for some personal ego gratification…

Better to let the dead rest in peace… or risk joining them…

Apparently the CEO’s Mrs had ancestors that went down with the Titanic. Now her husband is down there having a permanent look.
