I would take the original P-38 any day of the week……. But unfortunately would be still quite a ways down of my list of the Hawker Typhoon/Tempest, Mosquito Bomber, McDonnell Douglas F4 Phantom and the A10 Fairchild Thunderbolt II as much more respected Aircraft myself!
But throughout my whole life of following/researching/learning/respecting Aircraft…… it’s honestly the Mosquitoes for the win and the absolutely sexy Hawker Typhoons as the very ultimate turning points in the development of military aircraft history and design
