If it’s anything like some of your previous 3D printed purchases there could already be some warping amongst other imperfections tainting the overall quality of them

If they were to use Nylon or even ABS it wouldn’t be so bad in use, but that material is a pain to print if you’re not set up right. Haven’t used Nylon but ABS can be very hit and miss, especially longer prints.
there’s other material designed for more industrial use but they’re like upwards of $100 for a 500g spool, and doubt you could get a full sten out of one roll plus whatever they feel like charging for everything else involved.
I think the only real way a Sten or similar sized blaster will work is GBB, already exists in airsoft too.

But from an ergo point of view, not many of them are particularly comfy to shoulder. I’ve fired BME’s Sten, not too bad with the loopstock and while the traditional straight stock looks better, it feels like you’re shouldering a car jack and brace with it on… But damn, it does make it look the business.
Same with the Thompsons… if adding all the Pulse Rifle gubbins actually makes them more comfy to shoulder, that speaks volumes about the standard ergos. 
Fortunately, the Kar98s, M1 Garands and M1 carbines are pretty good to actually point and shoot. 
Gotta agree 100% with you there. I get the collectable side of WWII guns/blasters, but for making an AEG out of they are terrible… and most were made to be quick production rather than ergonomic, ultimately most are tools, and have the ergos of a tool… except the bolt actions.
The submachine guns I like but I’d only collect them, would never opt for them at a game!

Yep they are a chunk of junk if like the real ones. Nearly 5kgs. my forebearers used them. Sten Austen, SMLE, BREN, F1 the everything.
Called typewriters and car jacks for a reason. Good for a wall hangar and that is it. Couldn’t shoulder them why they typewrite and trained from the hip. Just like Vasquez… lets rock 
Twin MAG58’s mounted in an M113 turret. Now that fucked peoples days up and they worked 
Nope… not a snowball’s the only future mods I plan on doing will be in-house.
Anyway, probably the next project I tackle will be an AEG gearbox into this AA12, possibly a monster Gen 8… if not that, maybe a pimped P90.
I fugure if I can convert the shell ejecting drum mag to gel I’ll have more capacity than an M249 SAW.

Looks like a better alternative to the $150 JM entry level…320 fps standard…
My experience is that any blaster doing around 300fps with a metal gearbox for $300 always sells well. They are $289 at cybertrigger for the next 4 days too… only shame is I don’t want any more M4s, but good for newcomers for sure! At that price I am sure you could upgrade to a metal receiver at some point if the nylon bothered you, and by the looks you’d be in a similar price point, and have a spare receiver. Not bad.
I am keen to tinker with the E&C gearbox, recently did a upgrade on an early E&C that was LDX equipped. Pointless having a spilt gearbox with fake bolt catch, it ties the upper to the lower so you can’t split it. If removing that one feature (which is wank anyway) you could then split it as intended. IMO split boxes are just more variables, and if you are servicing the top end you should be looking at the gears! Glad that E&C went with a non split gearbox. Smart and better.
As for my feelings on them; for a brand that’s been raved about being the best blasters of late, it was just another Chinese made blaster, nothing special. They aren’t bad. They aren’t as amazing as hyped up though. I still prefer CYMA metal blasters, at least until I test the E&C gearbox.
Ditto… great gearboxes and decent blasters to boot.
X-Force’s prices though… always been a bit higher than their competitors but they keep creeping up.

Cybertrigger is the importer of E&C, so they could be cheaper. Once their sale ends they are the same price.
