I have the Bluetooth Version and has never had any issues… but then again, hasn’t been used for how many years now? ![]()
Mine has had the battery replaced years ago, stock one died in about a year, and never lasted long so I soldered a bigger one in.
Great choice too, I only charge it about half-3/4 and it lasts for months normally!
It’s been dropped, shot, filed with gel chad and generally abused for 8 years and still works but is getting a bit annoying. It is hard to justify getting another one while it still works though!

X-Force have 'em… have had 'em a while. ![]()
If they’re the same SCAR SC I got the battery is the biggest ( only really) issue, think I had a thread on it, but the battery space is above the gearbox but the the gearbox has a little nub moulded on top which acts like a stop preventing from any reasonable sized battery from fitting…
I also ended up shortening the wire a bit partly because the (-) was like 2" longer than the (+) and was trigger my OCD among other things. Currently waiting on some more plugs to arrive to make an extension cable so I can run an external battery on the front or something until I can figure something better out.
Weren’t they those weird arse staggered shaped batteries, with a long cell on the bottom and short cell on top to allow them to slide all the way into the space above the gearbox?![]()
Well the one it came with was a standard 11.1v, which didn’t even fit in the opening to begin with so was completely useless here.
I can barely fit a long 7.4v in there, thou I loose that snappy trigger.
I could probably get a nunchuck style in there alright but I’m not gonna get one of those just for this.
These have been out for ages… were not very popular sellers due to the price for what you get.
The battery space is a massive downside, though a brushless motor would allow you to run a smaller battery more effectively for longer…
Wouldn’t be gel if you didn’t have some work to do out of the box right?
That was the Double Bell one. This one is supposedly different being made by CYMA under the Cybergun brand getting FN licence. ![]()
I dunno. Cyma V2 gearbox maybe a good thing.
Does not seem to be the exact same manufacturer…
Cybergun FN Herstal-Licensed SCAR-SC Compact AEG Gel Blaster REPLICA – WAT INT
SCAR-SC Metal Gel Blaster - Black (831) | X-Force Tactical
Maybe Cyma took it on and did it cheaper. I dunno.
