Upcoming Blasters and Products

Would make sense, you already have a system developed why change it, can’t confirm thou with only two images.

Would still like to see some of the assistant systems adapted to get thou, I know the difference in size and material plays a part but they could say least try instead of using such inefficient systems like shell ejecting.

I think the shotguns should be larger size gels, like 11-12mm gels or something. that would be more appropriate for a shotty in my opinion

Not for me.

The first gen shotties, had gas in the shells, and leaked like sieves, and poor performance. I only got them, for the realistic collectability, and didnt even bother with the loading paraphenalia.

The sawn of shotty was a little better, but still troublesome.
At least it was direct green gas feed…

Not into the looks of these, so that’s a hard pass for me…

Yeah at that price, hard pass from me. Good chance it leaks and the low volume means no parts. Not something I would be a part of.

Unfortunately gel shotties have never been great. The original Hanke 97 was better at being a quiet sniper than being a shotgun. If loaded 5 gels they had very little velocity. I had a mate whack me with 5 gels from a meter in the face, and yeah I felt it, but didn’t hurt; was a minor shock at most!

Gas shotguns, well, even in airsoft the best ones are APS, and they have the same problems as our gel ones got, though could lob a few extra bbs then or gels due to size.

I would love to see the tri-barrel springers, but given they fit 30 bbs in a shell, gels would be significantly less, maybe 21 gels? Would give you 7 shots before reloading a new shell vs airsoft having 10 shots. There are aeg versions of these too, but significantly more expensive for those, and lets be honest, half the cool factor is pumping a shotgun rather than just pulling the trigger.

Yeah, the SPAS 12 tri shot, i had in the states, was awesome…!!

It was $50, and quite a tidy little replica…albeit missing some of the moving switches / levers etc.

It had just one shell, loading 30 bb’s, and fired 3 every trigger pull, pumping to reload.

I didnt have a chrono, but it went half way into a apple at 1m, so you wouldn’t want one fired in your face…!!

Only had the ability to hold one shell, when it was empty, you would have to remove it to refill it.

I dont think a gel conversion would suit, but the newer gel only SPAS 12 pumps em out at 270+ fps…just gotta pick up those shells…!!

Yes these! Most are around 300fps with 0.2 bbs, with fixed hopups. Very good value fun though, and at least in the disposable price range!

I would guess gel versions would need to be slightly larger overall to be able to do the same thing, at least the outer barrel and receiver, and shell would have to be scaled up to work. Which no company is going to do unless they can just cheaply and poorly convert the airsoft moulds!

We can always dream though right?

Have you tried the new gel SPAS 12.?

V2 is gel only, and you can load a couple of gels per shell, if you want to.
Fires a couple of gels, at lower fps.

Single gel per shell, fires 270-290 fps, so it’s pretty decent.
And the UDL spas, is better built than the $50 US cheapy…

Having said that, it was good not to have to pick up shells, with the US version…

What about a hopper fed (like the M97 or S1897) but uses CO² or GG and the pump just cocks the hammer for the value and allows gels to feed in
You loose the aesthetic of shell loading but big improvement on practicality imo.

So can confirm those knew GE repeater shotguns are blaster supplies gas, not the shells which makes them a little more appealing to me, still can’t justify spending that amount of money on one thou.
More pics showing fill valve

Hmmm…
400 fps on 14 kg gas…
So, accuracy is….shotgun like…!!:rofl::rofl:

Well…it is a shotgun…

Be more interested in how many shots you get between refills.

Time will tell.
If the green gas system works, it would be worth revisiting the earlier APS type shotties…

Classic models, with working green gas system, would be a winner…

If they would put the fill valve in a decent location you could potentially run a HPA line into it too.

As a SCAR guy I was interested in havng a look at the latest offering of a MK17 from DK on AKGelblaster’s channel.

Weird colours aside (it is a SCAR afterall) what struck me as oddest is that this SCAR gel blaster has a blowback feature. Now, I’m the first guy to disable blowback on any AEG I own that has it simply because I want the thing to last and not shake itself to pieces.

But real SCAR H MK17s made by FN Herstal have non-reciprocating charging handles… unlike this gel blaster… hmmm.

I just find it strange to see a manufacturer incorporate an unrealistic feature that actually compromises the overall realism of the replica. :man_shrugging:

Didn’t early SCARs have reciprocating charging handle? It was one of the complaints about early versions. The updated ones, think around start of 2022, have non-reciprocating ambi charging handles

Yep @Wombat you’re right… I stand corrected

A non-reciprocating charging handle was an upgrade on later SCARs after August 2021. So I guess you could get away with saying this blaster’s a replica of an older MK17. :man_shrugging:

Apparently the NRCH upgrade wasn’t well received.

I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on one of these, but the way China’s handling blaster exports these days I wouldn’t want to risk going down the B709a route. Doubtful it would make it out of China.

I have been wanting one of these too. Once shipping issue is sorted obviously.
I still have a b709a for the APC9K, which will trial the shipping in the next month for you all.

I did get hold of an ex demo cyma scar-l this week, but the scar-h is what I would prefer.

Yes they changed it so you wouldn’t bust your fingies on larger optics and induce malfunctions. Not so critical on the MK16 with lower power round, generally smaller optics didn’t sell many etc. SCAR -L and SCAR H days on a pitch to militaries that got trials but no major uptake. Think the Danish still use the SCAR-L  not sure have to look it up. Socom trialed it and used for awhile, gone away now for things like HK417 etc. Slated as the replacement for the AR when Military went window shopping but didn’t find the right size dress as didn’t have a pocket for a crayon

Looks like a great blaster. :+1:
