Upcoming Blasters and Products

I’m hearing you on that lol

Still, I find myself browsing everyday looking for more :joy:

Yeah, good luck with that request…

You’re dealing with some pretty hardcore collectors in here… nobody’s gonna tell you not to buy a blaster.

Follow a simple principle.

A simple rule, that allows you to practise discipline, and restraint.

“ I will only buy blasters….on days…ending with the letter Y”

:thinking::wink::rofl:

Didn’t someone make new mags for these.?

Recessed, without the teabag strings.?

Any reports.?

Not that I’ve seen, there’s a number of M4 mag adaptors around but apart from that.

Using a shell like what the Airsoft version uses wouldn’t be practical for gel, only holding like 2 maybe 3 pumps worth of shots.

During one of my shower thought sessions I was trying to figure out how much work would be involved modifying the receiver to flip the feed tube to use the mag tube, so like you would fill the mag tube from the front and it uses the spring to push the gels down to the feed tube, could fit a good couple hundred in there. But looking at the exploded images of the thing it’s a lot of work.

A 3D scanner would help thou

The MCX is an ugly looking gun and I don’t really care for it.

That being said, at some point I will add one to my collection anyway!

If there is something you don’t have, you should get it while it is available as in gel some things never appear again once sold out… Did that help?

I tried to import a airsoft Glock slide and lower receiver from Hong Kong long time ago, it was seized by Australian Customs based on Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1956 which they considered it as parts of a firearm. You cannot import parts that are able to assemble into a real gun (without a license).

Parts that resemble real steel components, are always a bit iffy…
even though they are Gel/airsoft…

Gelsoft slides are made of lower quality, cheap metal…

they would never survive being used, in a real firearm.

ABF don’t know that, assume the worst, and just seize…

I just had a metal MP5 tri lug, which didn’t make it out of HK…

Stopped by overzealous HK customs…

I doubt ABF would have looked twice…

It’s almost as if there’s no training involved or someone who’s qualified to identify these things at processing facilities :unamused:

Anyone who knows how a firearm works would immediately know what could and couldn’t be used in or with a firearm.

Not to say they need these people just to identify stuff for us gel enthusiasts but I imagine there’s more than just our stuff being seized cause the officer on duty doesn’t k ow better.

Mate I can tell you first hand, most inductions or training courses are a group activity and everyone gets a pass because they go through the questions and answers together as a group.

The trainers will even say, even if you think you know the answer, don’t fill it in, we’ll go through the questions and answers together as a group.

So essentially, they’re giving you the answers, ensuring everyone passes the test, regardless of whether they understand the policies, procedures, risks, etc.

Then they wonder why there’s so many useless cunts in the workforce that should never have been given the pass in the first place.

And that’s across most industries, however some trainers are better than others and will try their best to make sure those attending the course understand it as much as possible before signing them off as competent, but in the majority of cases, it’s a guaranteed pass just for attending the course

Which is retarded, but it’s the way it is unfortunately

I would consider appealing their decision and try to explain the item and intended purpose

The custom officers don’t know that airsoft /gelsoft blasters cannot convert to fire real ammos, even the WA police comissioner don’t know it. He thinks gel blaster look real and can be converted to real guns so WA ban gel blasters. You can watch his laughable press conference in banning gel blasters on Youtube. Usually HK customs don’t stop airsoft things out of Hong Kong since airsoft is legal in Hong Kong , it is up to the destination country’s custom whether they allow the items to be in the country.

You’re missing the point Bart.

We all know A/S etc. can’t be converted to firearms because of the materials used. The issue for customs/police/border force/Australian public is what I call the ‘dickhead factor’. Because A/S etc. look like real firearms (and they do), they can be mistaken for real firearms, and some dickhead will then point them at either uniformed services or the general public.

We had the same debate back in the 70s-80s, when we had Japanese replica guns (and plastic 1:1 scale model kits). Plenty of ads for them back in the Australasian Post magazine and in all the army disposal shops - back when they had good stuff in stock. The replica guns got banned by police/customs etc. because of the ‘dickhead factor’.

And to further ‘stir the pot’, if you visit a gunshop or gunshow in Europe, it’s a jacket and tie affair - here it’s checkered flannel shirts, collarless shirts, singlets, shorts, sneakers, thongs, and exposed tattoos. The general public sees this. In Asian countries they largely don’t have private firearm ownership, so A/S is all they have; the police basically know this. Plus the locals are far less likely to point A/S at authoritarian police forces etc.

If you appeal…you end up in court.

NSW court…NSW mentality, NSW state rules…

There are costs involved, none of which are borne by ABF.

If you win (and the odds will be stacked against you), you get your item.
Court costs paid for by the crown.

If you lose (NSW) then no item, and YOU have to pay all parties court costs.

This was the situation i faced, if choosing to contest the seized import of my MLF 92, with B709, in Syd.

I decided it wasn’t worth the risk…for a $150 blaster.

it all achieved absolutely nothing, as AK gelblaster is now bringing in stock of the same MLF92… good job.!

It is easier to bring in whole complete blasters (with B709), and assuring it lands in QLD.

Parts are at the daily discretion, of ABF…

Slides/ receivers are higher risk items…

Right :flushed:

I didn’t realise it was that extreme. I was under the impression from your previous discussions about seizures of gel related gear that appealing their decision to seize was more clerical,

as in you file the appeal and they re-review their decision.

Having to goto court for a fkn toy is as retarded as them seizing said toy in the first place.

Keyword: toy

My apologies @Bart368 and @BME

Your apologies is accepted and don’t worry! The forum is for everyone to express their opinions. :grinning:

no need for apologies…no offence was taken.!

This forum is a place to share information…

thats what happened to me, and what i was up against…for a complete blaster that had a b709…

As always, with parts, it depends on…

A) where it lands, and
B) who you get on the day.

Qld tends to be no hassles…Nsw… speaks for itself.

All my QLD parts have gotten through so far, so thats promising…
but, even a slide / receiver on its own could get seized.

Just like in Hong Kong airsoft gun shops are just normal toy shops and everyone how they are toys only. I have been to JK Army shop in Mong Kok in Hong Kong last December, there are thousands and thousands airsoft parts like barrels , slides , lower receiver etc on display in the shop. The the size of the shop is just like the double garage at your house. There is a WE airsoft speciality shop / showroom in the area. In it every WE guns are on display including Mauser M712, P08 Lugar, P38, Browning HI power etc. The best is the Desert Eagles , it is way better than TM and Double Bell. It is an eye opening experience to see all those airsoft shops in Hong Kong ( compare to the gelblaster shops here). But the sad part is you cannot buy anything and bring it back here in Australia.

Just to clarify, it actually is a 3 step process…

  1. Do they seize.? if yes…they then issue you the letter.

  2. Receive Letter…you have the right to appeal. State your case concerning its a gelblaster, B709, going to QLD etc etc.

ABF DECIDE if they are going to then release the item to you. ( this happened to me, with my spectre… i received it in the end)

  1. IF ABF say NO… final stage…go to court. THE COURT DECIDES, and that is final.

This is the high stakes game, and not worth it for a $150 blaster…
Particularly if AKgelblaster is now bringing them in, anyway…!!

Hope that clarifies the process…as always, the entire system depends on who you get at ABF on the day…and who’s running the ABF appeals system…

I receive the letter from Customs about the seizing of my slide and receiver and I decided not appeal. The other times is I order a AAP01 conversion kit from Hong Kong. The seller sent it to me via UPS , The guy from UPS Australia ring me up saying that it is an airsoft product what do I want to do? Two options : sent it back to the seller or proceed to go though Customs (risk of being the item seize by customs), I decided to sent it back to the seller and get a refund. I order the same kit from another seller in Hong Kong. The seller sent it by normal mail and no problem at all.
