Just to clear that bit of info up…
We’ve already established in a previous post that the V4 and V5 share the same MOSFET (FCU) so the only difference is the metal gearset.

post a review, with pics, when it arrives…!!
Good stuff…!!
Arrived today.
It is smaller than I thought, but that’s totally fine, because I like the tiny ones.
The material looks like durable plastic with nicely made finish. No blemishes.
Feels solid in hand. I love the SciFi appearance of this kind of blaster. Reminds me a little bit at the gun of the guards, in the StarTrek episode “Encounter At Farpoint”. I know its far from that, but it just remembers me…
The battery is really tiny with 1000 mAh. Will see how long it lasts during a battle. Better to have one spare at hand. As we tested it the short time you see, it became hand warm.
The muzzle has a metal ccw thread, which allows to add, e.g., a hopup.
Loading the magazine is straight forward, but it doesn’t hold much gellets. They are quickly shot empty. Unloading releases 3 gellets. Much less than a Zuru HPG 700, where around 10 gellets falling out of the blaster, when detached.
The rpm and fps aren’t really impressive. I have to make a direct comparison to the HPG 700, but it seems, the HPG 700 has more punch. But I may remember not correctly. Will see…
As there is metal gear inside, a little bit more voltage and a stronger spring may help out.
But for the average battle with my son and his friends, it is more than sufficient.
Next I try out some 3D-printed hop-ups. I don’t know, how they would perform, but I love tinkering around…
Can you post some photos.?
Size comparison, with another blaster.?
Is it full size, or 3/4 size.?
To add photos,…

2: go to the icons, at the top of the box.
3:in the middle, there is a small rectangle…“Upload”
4: click on that, and add photos.!
It has no 3-burst mode, as I hoped for.
Several years ago, I developed a Nerf Stryfe Mod with an Arduino microprocessor and little OLED display, that sported single, 3-burst and full auto mode with two MosFets. Measures the fpm inside the barrel with a photoelectric barrier, counted the shots/ left rounds in mag, modified the strength of the shots and rpm in three steps. Was lots of fun to tinker with and not very complicated…
Nice vids.!
Do you have a chrono, to measure fps…??
Im crying over here, visiting the USA…
The 320 fps airsoft blaster, covers 90 metres, from a 2nd story building…
And can reasonably hit a man sized target…
I wish we could have airsoft, in Australia…!!
Grouping looks reasonable, which generally happens with lower fps models.
What is the distance, to your building?
And, 50cm is the actual size, of a real P90…
Uhm, distance to the little house is maybe ~10-15m.
I’ll compare it with our two HPG 700, both with 7,4V LiIon, too in a few days and report.
But, what I love about the P90 is the well built design and finish. Looks great, feels great and heavy. Not that squishy plastic of the Zurus. Even when the Zurus not been built badly at all. But the P90 plays in another ligue. Definitely!
No, I don’t own a chrono. Maybe one of my friends at “Blasted.de” has one. If I can get hands on one, I definitely compare them per video.
Hi TriggerToy,
do you sell stronger springs for the P90 V5?
I should surely buy one!
Which would you recommend?
Yes sure,no problem.I’ll hold it for you.
Looks good, size is 1:1. It was designed to be a compact PDW. Matches up to the real one with your measurement.
Seems to fire pretty good, I’d chrono that looks maybe 250fps. Could try a 3S battery instead of the 2S would speed the fire rate up but then I have no idea how good the FCU is and that may fry. Swap the piston o ring out for a decent silicone rubber one, then look at upping the spring. Measure the spring that is in the box to get a gauge on what is in there. Wire Diameter and length.
Will try. As you mentioned, higher voltage may fry the fcu. In my opinion, the rpm is sufficient. In regard, that the mag doesn’t contain that much ammo and runs out very quickly.
One pal on blasted.de asked how long the pellets were put out of water. So they could be smaller than they should.
I soaked them today again and will try again after work.
Maybe, this thingy performs a bit better.
Can you provide a link, where I can put it in my cart?
Just for interest:
Do you know, how much voltage the fcu can handle without frying? Is 11,1V not too high?
A friend lent me his chrony today and I shot some fresh soaked rounds with the P90 at satisfying constant 230-235 fps. Nice!
Seems, that tuning with stronger spring isn’t necessary. Only for tinkering, not for battle…
Tests with the two HPG 700 are following…
300fps is a sweet spot…
A bit more zing, a bit more range…
but, keeps accuracy, and not too much extra stress on the gearbox…!
Should have a good v/e ratio with the long inner barrel (why I like Steyrs)
The spring is not in stock. You can have a look at other stores. For a better performance,we also suggest you to get a better battery and hop up.
Can you suggest a hopup?
Are 11,1V possible without damaging the electronics?
The 11.1 v battery will greatly improve the performance of your BF P90 V5.And yes,it has some damage to the gearbox and gears for sure. It’s common for most of the gel blasters. But the gearbox and gears of P90 V5 are metal,so it’s durable than the nylon ones. And you must have known improving the performance comes at the expense of its life. But this could be fun to remodel it.
This is the hop up and battery you are asking:
