Hey blaster community, just curious if the old forums have been archived by the wayback machine? I would do a search but I cannot recall the exact url of the forums.
Just seems a shame that such a huge resource of information is gone for good.

There was a topic created here somewhere that captured historic links to the last few dying days/topics from the old GBF…… but I’m technologically retarded, so I can’t provide any links right now, but I’m sure someone more knowledgeable and educated can help find the answers to your questions

Na there is sporadic odd bits of no use. Most of it is gone for good. I tried it some time ago.

so what exactly happened? server glitch from the host website or? like data
corrupted? disgruntled ex admin destroyed it? hacked?
Ex Admin believing they were better than everyone else.
I sent one of them a message to try and sort it out, and after a bit of back and forth, they tried to IP grab me, and were hard stuck on the belief that I was some underage girl?? No clue where they got that from, but okay….
I don’t think we will ever have access to the old forum.

that’s a shame, it’s a pity after hearing stories of a vast range of lost knowledge and experience posts.
kind of figured it would be something along those lines. we do after all live in a new age where the majority of people get offended by just about everything.
one can only hope the disagreements of old could be sorted and hatchets buried, but definitely sounds unlikely.

It’s not relevant. But I’d be curious to know which ex admin you tried to talk to. There was only two people that had any power when it came to keeping the forum running. The guy that owned it and the guy that was paying for the server. I seriously doubt either of them would’ve tried what you’re describing and both of them by that point were no longer active members of the old forum and are very difficult to contact.
Edit: to clarify. I was privy to a bunch of info about it all but I don’t want to bring up old bs (and not sure if I should even be making this post). It’s more just me putting together a last couple pieces of info that make everything make sense.

I was hoping you’d return one day. The above forget about that shit and move on as it is long gone simply put. I went off but that is all history. Because I do like the blaster community and there is no room for,… alright I’ll shut up now 
Not quite right, a certain person was given admin and blocked the provider. But you were gone by then and would not know.
Ah well. It’s all ancient history anyway. Some of the info lost on that forum was pretty valuable though

Yes and that was the biggest loss, but this is going well here I got invited by the good people to join and it is going well. I only joined on the proviso I will not try help and get shots fired and blamed for things. Not doing that again, ever.

Yeah, the vibe in this forum’s iteration is chill, funny, inclusive and comfy… like slipping your feet into an old pair of sheepskin moccosins… that don’t pong… 
As for the old group, best to let sleeping dogs lie.
