What Did You Get Up To Today?

Me but with the miniature pistols instead.

I should have never got you started on these…

Look what i’ve created…!!

Power just came back. Got pounded from midnight for a couple of hours.

Power went out at 4:30 when one of the local brain dead fookwhits tried to steal a Camry and totalled an aboveground junction box. Forgot to disable the steering lock. The joys of living near the shallow end of the gene pool

Generator got a good work out

Far out, some really are a carton short of a six pack.

Relatively unscathed, only had a ceiling leak. Slept like the dead compared to the night before. The power went out this afternoon though and to our horror the mobile network was absolute doodoo. No power, no internet, no grog.

So I grabbed the wife and kids and drove over to Surfers. People everywhere.

Wind’s really kicking up on the northside… rattling the windows and making me glad I left everything packed away or tied down.

B0M’s predicting rain for the next five days… all that fresh water into the system’s going to make fishing a no-go for a while… unless you like catfish and tilapia.

Now that’s what I call a disaster  Stay safe :+1:

window above kitchen sink leaking above where the top of the window joins to the wall, shitty seals on kitchen bench let water all through the shitty chip board underneath the bench top, warped the bench top to buggery, pics n vids sent to real estate which means kitchen bench will need replacing at some point in the future

power went out around 2am, was going on and off for 30 second intervals every 10 - 20 mins, then went off completely and hasn’t been restored, so still without power

called out to do “make safe’s” for fallen trees all over the gold coast, will be back at it again tomorrow to remove the leftovers from the make safe’s

hoping the power comes on before what little food I have goes to shit, thanks to panic buyer’s buying everything on the shelf :+1:t2:… fkn COVID-19 panic buying bullshit all over again, luckily I bought shit tickets a few days before the panic buyers legally looted the shops so I can at least wipe my ass and thankfully the elec hot water system still had hot water left in it for a warm shower after being out in the wet weather all day, probably won’t be so lucky tomorrow unless the powers restored,

and my bank account will be thanking me for the weekend work :+1:t2:

Good luck and well done with the trees.

Pity about people stripping shelves :rage:

A minor bit of cyclone blaster fettling… and that was enough in my shed with the wind howling

Never liked the shape of the cocking lever on the Hanke 1887 lever action shotties. Nothing like it should be…

Five minutes in the shed with a propane torch and a rubber mallet, not perfect but better, and you work with what you’ve been given… cheers @BME  I’ll finesse and paint it when the weather clears.

Golden Eagle got it right…

So is that going to involve chopping the trigger guard as well?

No, won’t be chopping the trigger guard.

That’s a GE thing, Remington didn’t do it on their real steel lever action shorties. That’s good enough for me. :+1:

May put a bit more heat into it and try to round it off a little more up near the trigger guard…

Chinese pot metal being what it is, I might not too.

That was my first thought…jeez, ya game playing around with that stuff! :astonished:

Plenty of experience with Pot Metal parts from the 30’s through to the 60’s on the Classic/Muscle Cars and is a nightmare.

That’s with old decent quality manufactured USA alloys, let alone toy grade Chinese pot metal! :grimacing:

Looks good…!!

Now all we need, is for you to post a vid, of the one handed “terminator twirl”…!!

" Alf be Back !!!"

Finally have power and internet. Crawling up the wall I was so bored.

I’ll tell you what though, every gel blaster attachment that had alight was used - the glock’s surefire knockoff, the m4’s olight and even that Mk23’s piddly-ass-back-in-the=mid-80’s torch was used. Wife was impressed I had prepared and I deftly avoided her how did those costs question

Looks like the last gust has lifted a tile or weatherproofing somewhere. Currently deploying buckets and preparing for gyprock replacement and mould treatment once this rain is gone. Then it will be on to tree disposal and fence repair to clear the pine tree that just came down

I hear that.

Not looking forward to that.

more tree clearing in the pouring rain, it never let up all day, glad I brought spare clothes and work shirts, made use of them and they got soaked again within 30 seconds

traffic mostly behaved but still a lot of wankers refusing to slow down through roadworks , even in emergency situations, they’re in such a rush to get where they’re going they’re quite happy to chance flying around a blind corner and collecting more of the downed trees strewn all along the roads

you’re 100% correct, without question

power came back on about 30mins ago, just went out again… totally over this weekend

Que “bad to the bone”
