picked up my cw to ccw adaptor today from the local post collection point because the postie cbf’d getting off his bike to knock on the door, just softly calls out “package” from his scooter.
literarily only just heard him on the surveillance playback when I watched it, then all I gets an email saying they couldn’t deliver and were taking it to the local collection point but then failed to notify me where I could collect it or that it was ready for collection, I had to chase it up

anyhoo, it’s not as bulky as I was expecting it to be from the look of it online, doesn’t look too bad on my sig 551, however glow gel performance is pretty shit house, definitely need harder density glow gels than what’s available on the market for higher powered blasters
Looks quite good to me, but you never know what you’re buying until it actually turns up. 
Australia Post is going to shit all over Australia, with exactly the same lack of service that they are meant to deliver.
Your money is taken by them to deliver items “to your address”… NOT these fangled new collection boxes or just dumped at a Post Office somewhere else for you to have to chase up and go collect yourself. 
It’s that bad in this rural small town that we have had locals VOLUNTEERING their own time and their own vehicles/fuel to pick up and deliver mail/parcels to people in the region! 
Plenty of elderly and disabled people out there relying on delivery to their house, not to someplace else many kilometres away that’s got opening hours they have to try and work around and have no transport to get there anyway. 
Don’t even have a Taxi in town anymore, no public transport, Uber or anything, only relying on the kindness of others to help them out.

How does one get shit to them in a rural area? That’s auspost’s problem to solve.

it’s no wonder a lot of places aren’t using auspost and instead using various courier services, but some of them can be just as bad as auspost in all honesty

@BME it’s a very dark green… I just fine sprayed the brown over it to mute the sand colour.

Just as I made that comment, car pulled up out front loaded with packages and was a girl my age who used to be my neighbour on one of the farms I worked on.
Haven’t seen her in at least 25 years and is one of the locals who have volunteered to deliver shit around here. 
Poor rest of the people waiting for deliveries though, because she turned off her car and we had a good catch up chat for about half an hour. 
Got the package off her for my housemate and planning to catch up at the local Pub sometime. 
It’s not you or anything or the postie, I get 6 emails saying it’s been dropped off at your nearest collection point and all this bullshit.

Auspost do really good. They have been all over christmas through to today.
Where it fks up is these overseas Saudi Arabia or whatever owned companies they do not communicate to Auspost and change tracking numbers, but when Auspost get it at the airport they have to put their own tracking number on it. Well they have to do something as Sendle no body home bro.
I’m telling ya, without Auspost you’d be relying on a bunch of Saudi Arabians over there in sand dunes that do not give a shit if you get it or not. What do they care, whole different country.
Much of this has happened since a large Indian family moved into town and took over the town.
First they purchased the only Accommodation place in town, a quite large Bed and Breakfast type building, shut it down and moved their whole families in.
From grandchildren through to great Grandparents all now living in the same building.
From here they purchased an old building on the main street and opened up an Indian Restaurant, not that it’s actually ever open as there’s not enough people in town to keep the doors open…town joke is that it’s just a Tax dodge for their other businesses.
From there they took over the 2 fuel stations in town, and then the Post Office, which is where all the trouble with our local Postal services going down the drain.
They immediately sacked all the local workers, including delivery drivers, and employed all their own family, same with the fuel stations.
They got rid of everything inside the Post Office including the document holders on the walls and anything else that required extra work, money or time outside of basic services… including parcel delivery and even cut the local mail run down to one day a week!
Everyone was suddenly just getting texts or cards in their mail boxes telling them to come and collect their own parcels or placed outside in electronic lock boxes for people to pick up themselves.
Last couple of small businesses in town have all been put under pressure with this family trying to buy out their businesses, and just waiting to see how long before this family starts running for local government positions on the Shire.
So yeah, can’t really blame Australia Post, other than they should be Auditing who is actually running their services and if they are in compliance with meeting all the standard Australia Post expectations.
Probably the reason why I’ve been so slow getting things posted, as I avoid going in there unless absolutely necessary.
They are rude, blunt and simply go out of their way not to help with anything or answer questions… absolute minimum engagement or help whatsoever.
Will see how I go getting this stuff on its way soon with the least chance of “Going Postal” on them myself!

Don’t worry mate, got my GQ Patrol and camper trailer being worked on as we speak… about to go do some more work shortly, and get ready for a big cruise around Australia checking in on all you mob on the way!
Only problem is that I’ll get to QLD and won’t want to come back…that and trying to leave @Maiphut 's joint on the way through, which might delay the trip somewhat!
