What's up with TianGong gearboxes?

Unfortunately I became an owner of two ARP9 and one MK8 made by TianGong. Why unfortunately? Proprietary build, no modularity in mind. It goes to externals AND internals

What are these gearboxes? Why not V2? How do I upgrade these?

They look very similar to Gen8 style gearboxes, but generally all the normal upgrades such as air seals, orings, springs, gears, motors, barrel etc can be all modified.:+1:

With the exception of being a short shaft motor instead of the longer v2 style, but they’re just as common as the other.
